Melee group PvP
I was just curious, which class would be better for group PvP, Slayer or Berserker. I really like how the slayer plays, but from what I have heard, it's thrash in PvP.

In fwc, you win by locking down players and dealing burst before everything gets healed off. That's why classes such as slayers and warriors are labeled as bad classes, because they lack both aoe and immediate damage. Warriors can pick off players in small groups and Slayer can dish out decent pressure to a healer, but none of that matters when there are multiple healers cleansing and healing each other along with the rest of the group.
Backstab anyone and there are 2-3 priests available to immediately cleanse. Measured slice backcrit for 40k? An equally geared sorc can crit for more double that amount, and to far more players as well. Even zerkers can pop groups with cyclone and individual players with a yolo ts - they have IMMEDIATE kill power. Slayers have to land a full combo + much more to kill someone in fwc because all of their hardest hitting skills split and have little aoe comparatively(ww is ok and doesnt split but it doesnt compare to other classes).
Slayers don't really have bad damage per se, but where the damage is distributed is the problem. Why invest all that time into a kick ht evis ms just to do comparable damage, if not less, as a sorc throwing out a single fireblast onto a giga or ground pound? Against a group of competent players, any damage you try to put out will get comfortably peeled off or healed or arised before you can finish a combo.
It's not as big of a problem in 3's because there are less players interrupting your [filtered] but in mass pvp, you won't be 1 comboing anyone against competent opponents barring random huge crit chains.
I mean dont get me wrong i love slayer. It's the only class I really enjoy playing and i've stuck with it for 250+ days of playtime, but the class simply isnt any good for group pvp. Either way, pick what you find fun. You'll enjoy the game more that way.
Remember to read up on Zerker pvp guides. The most important thing that Zerker need is attack speed and energetic III etchings. Building up a Zerker's endurance and HP is also a must, since they hAve the lowest base endurance.
