Anti PVP on PVP servers?
I kill lvl 60s-65s on a PVP server while waiting for CS instances to kill the boredom, and because for me the chase is fun. When I do kill the lowbie (I mean lvl 60-64), for a lack of a better term, they make it so personal. Either their insult is the generic "noob" or "You feel better now?" or "Go kill lvl 65s", "[filtered]", or some type of psuedo-arm chair psychology why somehow killing lowbies is being used because of psychological problem. I mean they act like I stomped on puppies or kills a child or something. I mean it is just a video game, and any video game where players have an opportunity to kill each other's character, that goes with the territory and is expected.
TERA is the only MMOrpg I've played consistenly, but not the only MMO. This is the only MMO where I've seen people complain about others for playing the game as intended. It makes no sense to me. I mean they try to get personal about it for no reason. The worst a PVPer can do to them make it a temporary inconvience while they are leveling up, but they lose nothing and these guys as well as anti-pvp white knights act as if you did something morally wrong. Just in case someone claims that PVP and PK are not the same, read this:
Player(s) versus player(s), or PvP, is a type of multiplayer interactive conflict within a game between two or more live participants.[1] This is in contrast to games where players compete against computer-controlled opponents and/or players, which is referred to as player versus environment (PvE). The terms are most often used in games where both activities exist,[2] particularly MMORPGs, MUDs, and other role-playing video games. PvP is sometimes called player killing or PKing..
Player killing, or PKing, is non-consensual PvP resulting in a character's death. Some games offer open PvP (also sometimes called world PvP), where one player can attack another without warning anywhere in the game world

So what if they retaliate with unkind words, its part of the territory... I mean it is just a video game, no need to get butthurt over words.
PKing noobs is for the weak who can't handle PvP. To say otherwise is to delude yourself.
Skilled PvPers do not PK lowbies, period.
If a skilled PvPer was hungering for some action, they would go outside Velika for duels, or they would at least only target geared 65's as outlaw, and leave the lowbies alone.
Maybe you should change to a PvE server lol
isnt pvp, they cant do anything against you. so what is pvp? a place where 2 o more pple compete against each other. a low player cant compete against a lvl 65 player because the only chance to kill it, its to blowout the enemy's PC or kill the other player in real life because open pvp in mmorpg is poorly designed. - see the OP's link -
its like players from big leagues smash your little son's baseball team every [filtered] day.
You know full well why those terms are distinct. Either that, or you are the clueless one...
It's similar to the usage of the term CvC (character vs. character), instead of the term PvP. Back when role-playing was mandatory in MMOs, CvC referred to combat between characters that was in character. PvP referred to combat between characters that had no RP reason or justification, which was illegal.
Sure, CvC is technically a form of PvP, but there are two distinct terms, because the two are completely different. To say otherwise would show that you are clueless.
The same goes for PK vs PvP.
I mean, it's a bit sad but the lowbies themselves chose a pvp server, so there's nothing to complain here i guess.
I understand how it could be annoying to get PK'd but its 100% preventable if you just avoid playing on those servers, or even channel swap when someone -does- mess with you.
Player vs Player could mean many things, such as competing for resources/exp/etc but in Tera a PvP server refers to fighting other players through many means. Its alright to kill people in battlegrounds, and its alright to kill them in the open world if you can do so. Some people like the sense of impending danger, the challenge of fighting others, or even crushing those who are weaker than they are. I don't like it, so I don't put myself in a server where that is literally the goal.
I also like that if someone keeps KSing me, or giving me crap, I can actually kill them.
But I get no joy from being one shot by a loser with nothing better to do with his life. This is not why I joined a PvP server.
I understand that it's a part of being on a PvP server, though. But that still doesn't change the fact that people who PK lowbies are good for nothing flea bitten scum bags. But if that's what someone chooses to be, then so be it.
Killing someone that is much weaker than you doesn't make you a "good for nothing flea bitten scum bag" as much as it makes you... Not exactly honorable, to put it lightly. I don't like them, but its important to try not to get all fired up over them. That is usually what these people crave, which is why many of them like to kill lowbies.
When I get PKed, I always change channels and don't say a word to them. Best not to feed trolls. And I definitely won't humor them by getting on my main.
