Anti PVP on PVP servers?

  • I will say just: zzzzzzz
  • I'm sure OP is trolling for reactions ("I was just pretending!") but... this sort of thing is like considering yourself a skilled PvE-er because you can kill level 1-64 mobs in one hit with a fully-geared level 65. Yeah, it's technically PvE, but the "versus" part is smaller than a -3 height elin.

@Strawberrypants You hit the nail on the head. The main reason PKing noobs is not PvP, is because there is really no "versus."

It's like saying you are going hunting, when you go and stomp on ants on a sidewalk.

i never put outlaw on, especially not killing lowbies, but all this drama is so funny. changing channel is usually great way to avoid outlaws, if that's too much for you simply transfer to pve server...i got ganked so many times but it would be childish to whisper a person who killed me and be salty. res in closest city, pay fee to noble cleric and move on
  • Yeah the gear gap between lvl 65's and non lvl 65's is why it's a bigger deal in this game to pk players 60-64. It takes someone who is pretty skilled fighting someone who is really bad for the non level 65 to stand any sort of chance in 1v1.

I'm sorry, but PKing and PvPing are not the same thing. Why do you think there are two distinct terms?

PKing noobs is for the weak who can't handle PvP. To say otherwise is to delude yourself.

Skilled PvPers do not PK lowbies, period.

If a skilled PvPer was hungering for some action, they would go outside Velika for duels, or they would at least only target geared 65's as outlaw, and leave the lowbies alone.

completely disagree with your claim here.

i've seen and experienced being a skilled pvper and i have and seen them have loads of infamy and/or are killing lowbies. You can be as skilled as you want but still kill whoever you want. Falsely claiming that the entire population of skilled pvpers don't kill lowbies is just ignorance.

Yeah, PKers will say they are skilled, haha.

Just like inmates will tell you they are innocent!

Send any of those supposed skilled PvPing PKers my way, and I will gladly show how unskilled they actually are! Lol

Maybe they are skilled at bringing 5 of their PKer guild friends to "1v1" you!

Uhhh be ause the gear level difference between 60 and 65 is so great that its barely a challenge. You could have no skill and be killing these 60-64s for all we know.

Just stick to killing fellow 65s IF you have the best PVP gear, to be honest. They literally dont stand a chance and have every right to be pissed at you, lmao.

Now if you wear regular low tier gear, and go PVP with 61-64 then it would be somewhat more of a fair fight. Good practice, too. Thats what I do anyways because I hate to say that I only win because my gear happens to be better.

So yeah, pwople are gonna be annoyed when their hits do nothing to you lol. People tend to be upset at unfair fights.

While I was killing mobs, and he was even in the level range for me to not get Infamy.
Seriously, if you're gonna play on PvP server don't get mad for being killed.

I must admit though, there should be an actual stop gap for how much lower level someone can be so you can kill them, even if they have outlaw. I created this character last week and I was around Basilisks at lvl 20-25 with outlaw on (I decided to keep it on at every moment I am online) and waiting for people to attack me (I don't attack unless attacked), enjoying all the 1v4 that they turned into and every now and then a lvl 65 comes and camps there waiting for me for several minutes. Then the 65's act like they are doing justice with comments to fit it... I am not even salty as I expected this and used CCB and it's fun to run out of safe zone and stun them because they're not expecting it.

So is it bad to PK lower level players that have racked up tons of infamy from killing players even lower than them?

I don't think you should ever consider PKing lower levels "justice" even if they do have Infamy. I got plenty of lvl 18-19 attacking me with the rest of the lvl 20+ at the Basilisks and I had about 180 Infamy by the end of my PvP fiesta (after many hours of being there)

Oh how pretentious and wrong. PKing is just player killing. its pvp. stop pretending to know what they really mean by putting your definition of it

Like how throwing punches at a defenseless 12 year old is still technically fighting?

    Lol

Not even close. Tera's level advantage is ridiculously strong. The other day I was on an alt brawler. Idoneal armour, 64 avatar weapon, no crystals, no meat grinder on skill bar and no clue how to PvP with that class. A lvl 64 ninja with PvP crystals(and basically the best gear he could get at the level) attacked me. I nailed him to the floor despite having no idea what I was doing.

Basically this thread was made to tell lowbies to "suck it up and don't yell at me for killing you"?

Now. In Tera, is possible to kill lower levels in both pvp and pve. In both instances, the killer gets pretty much no gain(Unless there's a player kill achievement like in BnS which gives you actual character stat buffs for killing 1000 players, lower levels included.).

Now, coming to the forums to tell everyone you killed to shut up because is a game should also be applied to you. So, since nobody seems to have told this directly to you. Chill. Don't get angry if someone else rages and insults you for killing his low level virtual persona. The same as you say, "It's just a game", say to yourself, "those are just words." Let em slide and move on.

To everyone else. The pvpve servers allow killing of lowbies and everyone in there should come prepared to have a lowbie killer around. Now, greater judgement should be exercised if one sees that the same level 65, or 65s of the same guild keep coming at you, seeking you specifically with the sole intention of stopping from playing the game(cases like this have happened and people have been banned for preventing other specific players from playing the game)

Likewise, as a lowbie killer, you should come prepared to receive salt from players you engage because it's pretty much the same case. They can't stop you from killing them, so what right do you have to stop them from yelling at you afterwards? Give and take. Take and give.
