Steam Version Crashing PC

It has done it 4 times in a row tonight and it's always going into or leaving from the character select screen. I do have a support ticket in, but I'd like to play TERA/not kill my PC before they reply. So please Spacecats let the community suggest some ideas?

It kills all power and then reboots.

G.Skill Ripjaw 16GB DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte GA-Z79X-GAMING 7
EVGA 650Watt Gold PSU
Western Digital 1TB HDD
Samsung 120GB SSD
Corsair Liquid CPU Cooler
LG Blu-Ray Optical Drive
Corsair SPEC-01 Case

I know the case shouldn't matter but oh well haha xD Hopefully I can get this remedied :pleased:

EDIT: Just tried another time I can't get to character select. No TERA for it seems haha :(

EDIT 2: Updated title and adding that I tried my non-Steam back up install and it plays fine. So maybe we want to bring to attention that there's an issue with the Steam version somewhere?

    Best way to get help from the staff with this is submitting a support ticket and waiting.

    I've changed the thread and I have made a support ticket as I said. This is for the community to chat. Now I'm just raising attention of the issue being on the Steam version. Is the community not allowed to talk? haha

    and here i thought because of my potato laptop..... having the same problem starting this week... and i played tera with the same laptop for 3 years

    Other than just Steam itself, do you have any other overlays installed? It may be some sort of conflict. I can say that I run TERA through Steam and haven't seen this issue myself, but it's probably some sort of combination of things.

    For those who already have a stand alone version of Tera and want Steam overlay, you can add it as a non steam game and benefit from overlay and steam gamepad support. That's how I run Tera after I made the switch to Steam gamepad. I have never downloaded the Steam version, though.

    I KNOW this doesn't solve the issue and not everyone wants to sit through another large download, but if anyone out there already has the standard client and just wants Steam overlay, well, this.
