    This.

The list is so long and i mean L O N G that the chances of getting anything nice are kinda ... not there.
  • That's the whole point right EMforge? Swipe for the catas, yeah great idea! (hint: sarcasm) Look at all the posts about people being unhappy about the event, take it into consideration at the very least and give some feedback. That you are indeed listening to the community, or is it a nice big "we unfortunately don't care, as long as people pay up" <
That will work for a time, but it will backfire eventually on that note.
It's nice to have events, but at the same time I would rather not have one at all then expecting a great event, and getting a watered down event like the current kyras.

So let me understand this they created the worst Kyra's since the very first few times just because people hoarded catalyst? why the [filtered] do you punish everyone that didn't hoard catalyst just because SOME DID? Thanks so much EME i'm so glad you only care about the people that break the rules and do something you SHOULD EXPECT but the majority of the players that do events by your "rules" they all get screwed over because you don't decide to do an event the correct way?

This is why people are quitting they are getting no respect from you at all and the one event that SHOULD BE good you ruin because you are to stuck in making sure that people that saved up catalyst from last event which you totally screwed up on get punished and now EVERYONE GETS PUNISHED. Thanks for another [filtered] event next time can we just all lose like 50,000 gold and call that an event please? at least its faster and its clear we get screwed over.

Catalyst weren't wiped before the event started, people can still use the catalyst that they saved up from last event. I don't know how you think En Masse is punishing everyone.

You obviously don't understand what they are doing with this event @Ginjitsu people from last event got several thousand catalyst I myself got 2,000 catalyst barely playing the game honestly first 3-5 days of the event i didn't play at all. Came back to find blue boxes and casually found 1,000 in less than 3 days playing all of 3 hours a day and then quit doing it for another week and came back cause hey why not get another 1,000 really fast.

Now that being said people that put more effort in than I did got way more than 3,000 and some saved up catalyst from this insanely high rate of catalyst so EME knew they couldn't have a decent reward pool full of valuable stuff cause the people that have 3,000+ catalyst that happened to not use it last time they would just be able to get maybe not everything they wanted but dam near the pick of the prizes with a huge catalyst saved up. So the solution was easy! just dilute the rewards with 210 useless hat/glasses/back/cape items that most of us will get 513 of and keep in item claim waiting for them to rot away. Which leads to why I think EME is punishing everyone and its simply if people running dungeons are getting a chance at 1 and a pretty horrible chance at that one I might add, and they diluted the pool so badly just to make sure those who saved up catalyst don't get anything that means those who work hard to do dungeons wont get anything either.

So basically those who saved up they are hoping with a horrible prize pool they get nothing which makes the players that do the event the legit way get horrible rewards too, punishing EVERYONE in order to make sure those who saved up catalyst like they knew people did/would do get punished. Honestly if they had wiped all catalyst before the event i bet this event would have been awesome with maybe not a huge flood of catalyst like last round but at least a better reward pool. EME isn't stupid with how they run events they are just stupid with how they treat paying costumers and they knew exactly what this event was basically a cheap and effective way to tell people either you get [filtered] rewards or we delete your catalyst and quit saving them cause its getting hard for us to make "balance" the event so we don't lose to much money.

That might be the main reason why this event doesn't have blue boxes. I'm surprised En Masse didn't remove them during last Kyra event.

You should look up the word punish before you dilute it any further. No one is getting penalized or treated unfairly for hoarding catalyst, players can still use catalyst to earn the rewards for this event. En Masse didn't intend for players to hoard catalyst, so they let everyone in advance that all catalyst will be removed once event is over.

You still can hoard catalysts by buying them with emp, but somehow noone is bothered by this part...strange.

If you're expecting that rate of catalyst acquisition again, there's no use reasoning with you.

It is precisely that stockpile of catalysts that they're targetting.

If you mean like hoard them from one catalyst event into the next, then even the purchased ones will be wiped out at the end of this event.

But if you mean that people can still get a whole lot of catalysts just by buying them right at the start of the event, then sure -- that is one of the downsides to this entire event. But the amount of people who are able to buy that many catalysts is small compared to the rate people were able to hoard them via blue boxes last time. There are way more people who could spend a few days "barely playing the game" to collect 2000 catalysts via blue boxes than could drop 79600 EMP (~$660 USD) to do the same.

Yep, just buying them right at the start, skipping the whole "fair" part, though dont get me wrong i got nothing against people who do so and eme needs money, im perfectly fine with it, but since everyone talks about fair and stuff i just wanted to point out this part.

Though i agree with you on the blue boxes, last time they were totaly op, wich i mentioned in my previous post, but they could have just lowered the ammount of catalysts to 1-3 and make them spawn maybe in one channel only.
It would be a good alternative to the tedious dungeon spam, since Spacecats mentioned how they want to make the event fun and rewarding.

This is the first Kyra announcement: http://tera.enmasse.com/news/posts/introducing-kyra-s-pop-up-potion-shack
At the bottom it says: Any catalysts left unused after August 25 will be usable the next time Kyra’s Potion Shack pops up, but Kyra may not return for some time—and the prizes she offers will almost certainly be different!
They specifically told players that there will be more Kyra, rewards will change and catalysts can be saved up. I don't think they can say that in the official post and then claim they didn't intend for it to happen.

Oh, and, if they didn't intend for hoarding to happen, they could've wiped out all catalysts at the end of each event. You know, they way they plan on doing it now.

Yeah, it's a fair point, and is one of the things that makes this event "messy". Personally, I would prefer better "separation" between events and the cash shop. That being said... if the person was able to drop that much money on EMP anyway, they could just buy other things and sell them for gold, and buy the prizes others sell on the broker with that gold... so in the end I guess it's probably one of those things that "looks worse" than it really is. Considering last time the most coveted prizes were EMP and elite vouchers (which someone spending that much EMP could just flat-out buy), I've never really seen Kyra's as the sort of thing where people would be tempted to drop a whole ton of money on it. But who knows...
  • This time the event wasn't made for people to farm it, clearly. Else there wouldn't be a chance to drop, or no ghilli. It's just to clear catas from people who hoarded them and intended to save them for 'better' prize pools. And those spending emp on it.

Well, at least they didn't just cleared the counters to zero on everyone.

Just hope the next time the event it's more doable (that is, getting more than one or two potion rolls per day) by those who don't spend money on the game.

but why punish everyone? why punish anyone at all? it was EME'S FAULT LETTING CATALYSTS BE SAVED FOR NEXT EVENT? NOW THEY WANNA PUNISH PLAYERS FOR THEIR MISTAKE AND MAKE US WHO USED UP ALL CATAS LAST EVENT SUFFER????????????????????? AND I PAY ELITE SUBSCRIPTION EVERY MONTH AND I SPENT SO MUCH REAL MONEY IN THEIR SHOP? SORRY THAT DOG JUST WONT HUNT! I am outraged
Just make the same event as last one with boxes and this time DONT LET THEM TRANSFER CATAS NOW AND PROBLEM SOLVED, easy

We aren't being punished for their mistake. They were probably just trying something new. The boxes are unlikely to return, especially as they were, due to not being balanced. It's also unlikely, and actually unfair, if the rewards change; it would upset people who have already used catalysts and cause distrust. Although, if you or anyone else has any other resolutions you wish to see, feel free to discuss them.

ok i get some things but i still dont understand what is the difference if those "hoarders" opened catas previous event or now? if they got for example 300 blessed scrolls in February or got them now what is the difference? he got them :D maybe i am stupid for not getting their intention but i dont see the need to make them use catas till 19th July and make us play for miserable amount of catas and bad rewards

and one more thing...did someone from eme officially said that is the point of this event? i think not this is just assumption by players, and to be honest i dont think anyone saved them, simply what was left over like i had 2 left over from previous event i couldnt spend ofc cause i needed 5
