its SO unfair that codes expire so quick. especially that they are given out during NA times.... why limit them ?! a 24 hour code would be great!!!!
ive missed so many reward point codes. :(

You have to realize that you are playing on the NA version of TERA and not the EU version. Naturally, NA players will have an advantage when it comes to these sort of things.

an unneccesary advantage that adds nothing to NA users experience yet alienates a big portion of the playerbase

It isn't a matter of whether it is necessary or not. Europe already has their own version of Tera, so expecting a foreign region to accommodate you is just as unnecessary. I'm sure it would be nice, how ever, it should not be a surprise it doesn't happen. One other thing, be thankful they don't expire when the stream ends and people actually get anytime at all to use them.

I never said i was expecting them to accommodate to me. I personally couldn't care less about the reward.
It just seems like an unwise business move, might make some EU players reconsider going to NA

By you I did not mean you. I'm sure they don't focus on Europeans for business related reasons, as Gameforge had pressured En Masse in the past. There's also the fact Europeans are not the only foreign players playing on NA, if you want make accommodations for Europeans then you'll have to for everyone else.

What concern? If there was any pressure from EU, no stream codes would've been available for longer timeperiods.
Or do you honestly believe Gameforge told EME "You guys can only use 25% of your stream codes during times when our users are usually sleeping!"

Really don't know why you're trying so hard to make EME look slightly better when all i'm doing is trying to give them some ideas for next codes

No point to complain while the code is made for people who watch the twitch mainly.
If you want the code then watch the LIVE version twitch.

That's not what I meant, or even said. I said, they focus on NA because they're an NA publisher. Someone else is already responsible for Europe, them doing a poor job for their region does not make it En Masse's responsibility to make up for it, nor do they actually have much of a right to do so. I don't know of the specifics for Tera, but it's actually uncommon for publishers to worry about a foreign region when they already have their own publisher as it was strictly not allowed; it was even normal at one point for eastern games to have region blocks implemented to enforce this. When it comes down to it, it's strictly business.

So you meant the thing I already answered before . K.

Im not from NA, Im from the other side of the world and I got both codes. Still people complain and make up excuses and get mad.
  • That's weird. i didnt get the 300 Reward Credits and 1000 TERA Reward Points.
    Only the 3 kyra crystals.

    O.o

I don't really understand these people saying "these codes are made only for those who watched the stream". Dammit, why do you people need be so selfish? Just because someone didn't had time to watch the stream, they can't have the reward? This is just so stupid, sometimes I don't even have time to do things I would like to do, so why I need to watch the stream in time? This is a game not a secondary life.

For the "EME council" guy: When I bought the game few years ago, there was nothing preventing me from doing that... Also, I'm outside of NA and even so, EME has some business with a local game publisher here. So, if they want to sell their product here, they need to accomodate us. Unless they're just interested in the money, that's another history...

I'm not asking for EME do the impossible, but make these codes more realistic for the players who play more casually and aren't 100% NA doesn't seems impossible for me.
  • SinastriaSinastria ✭✭✭
Well, i'm from EU and missed the code, but since codes are a "bribe" to keep people watching it seems fine to me if i lose them 'cause they broadcast NA times. Let the streamer sleep XD

"These people" are Spacecats himself, the one who does the stream. You also don't have to watch the stream, the codes can be found in various places, so you can just use your phone to get the code from someone else and redeem them without ever having to click on the stream yourself. I don't always have time to watch the stream myself, and before I moved to Western US the stream was at a bad time during the evening for me, so I always got the code from my partner until I moved. All you have to do is redeem it anytime before it expires.

I never said Tera did that, I said 'eastern games normally did this'. En Masse allows foreigners to play purely because they feel people should decide which product they use. They think it's important to give people the option rather than restricting people to sticking to their own region like many games were doing. However, the decision is a player makes is on their own and should keep in mind many things will be based on the schedule of the average person living in NA. The option allows allows Tera to grow globally as some people probably wouldn't play at all without the options they have.

By the way, I am only explaining why there is little focus on foreign players by publishers in general. It doesn't mean I actually disagree that things should change. I personally think there should be two codes, one for those actually watching and a second one that goes on for 24 hours. That way those who are watching still receive a reward and then those who couldn't on time still have a window to get something.
