Ninja are to OP

  • U just have a bad rotation.
  • If this were PvP, I'd say "YES, NINJAS ARE TOO OP!" (as Spacecats and his character, Meowslinger, will testify via today's stream). However, this is PvE, and judging by what the OP said when it came to aggro, you are trying to use brawler like lancer. Each class has its own quirks, and different quirks mean you have to learn tanking different, so trying to use brawler as lancer is definitely a surefire way to let ninjas run rampant.

I myself am still trying to get the hang of brawlers with my one and only Brawler, Master.Fire, but I'll learn...and hopefully quickly.

Also, attack speed has nothing to do with threat. Reapers and ninjas are very hard, if not impossible, to pull aggro, as long as tank is fairly knowledgable about his rotations. So, do me a favor, and stop treating brawler like lancer and start learning proper brawler rotation.

Also, brawler is most op tank...as several of my lancer friends will testify.

The big issue I am seeing is These NINJA's are running +15 Awakened crap. Then wont allow the tank to do its job Ganted my Slaughter set isnt fully +12 due to impossible to get Masterwork Alchiest w/o paying crack prices for them in the broker. Its more like +10x3 and 1 +9 but i can hold aggro better with the Slaughter set than the Garbage Dreadnaught set. And ofc There is no way to get the Masterwork Alchiest for free in game....Along with tier 9 spellbounds w/o paying crack prices. Alot of what i see coming out of peoples mouths is CASH to sell items to get gold. Well if you wanna spend money for me Great otherwise keep your troll comments to yourself.

May not be much, but if you collect Vanguard credits, one of the shops there sell MWA boxes and doing some vanguards reward with T9 feedstock(also you can convert T8 feeds to T9 at a 2:1 rate). Against Awakened +15 players, you WILL have a tough time in any Slaughter gear not +12, and even then, against good players you'd still need to be at the top of your game to hold aggro.

They do need to buff the brawler in some ways for instance more than 1 Iframe that has NO range on it at all unlike other classes that have 2+ with super short CD's. Dont give me crap about frontal defenses either because alot of the 65 instances have damage than goes through defenses which means you need Iframes an with the Brawler having only 1.

You, my Friend should definitely start playing Zerker B)
  • I've seen warriors and sorcs stealing aggro from brawlers.... They definitely should buff brawlers and nerf those op classes.

Seriously - ninja IS op, I have one for farming purposes and it crits like crazy even tho I can't play it... But brawler is op too, so you must doing something wrong

Well, i'm not even sure a +10 slaughter set is much better than a +12 dread to be honest. Masterworking and enchanting stuff isn't even hard at all. I started during the beginning of ninja patch and i've enchanted to +12 a couple of sets for my only two chars, just do vanguards, hoard a bit and give it a shot.

At least for weapon, a +10 Slaughter gives a few thousands in attack power over DN +12. When I was upgrading my ninja, then my slayer from dn to slaughter, I saw, if I remember, that a +9 Slaughter was giving around 5K+ attack power over +12 DN. At +12, Slaughter was over 12k atp better than DN. Most average dps classes are at around 100k-120k attack on average gear, so 12k atp would be somewhere around 10% better. That would mean that at +10, I'd assume it would be somewhere around 6% or 7%. THOUGH, the upgrade is still worth because that atp is what gets multiplied when doing a crit.

These are very rough numbers from stuff I remember when I did it past month. So don't take these as anything too true. If anything, there's sites that research and show gear stats and maybe stat differences from gear to gear.

  • I'm sorry to say, but seriously, most of us just think that you are still a total newb to your class. I have never seen, NEVER in my entire runs on DF that the aggro gets taken from a good brawler. It's just really you. Nothing explains it more than that.

Are you trolling in this thread dude? If you are new you can always ask for guidance and try to listen others opinion.
If you are just trolling, you gotta stop it. :dizzy:

    Regarding your MWA problem.

MWA is not hard to farm.

    BAMS

    1. Do Tier 3 Bams
3x Shade Top Bams will grant you:
1380 gold, 40 tokens and 240 vg credits (non elite)

    2. Tier 2 IoD Bams
3x Shade Core Bams will grant you:
1200 gold, 40 tokens and 180 vg creadits (non elite)

Now that's costs you x6 dailies and you have 2 left.

    DUNGEONS

DO CW 2x and it will grant you 120 VG.

NOW that 540 vg per day/toons.

I cleared those dailies with my +12 DN Brawler less than 45 min

Btw take a look from this guide for making gold and vg farming http://forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/3048/the-real-way-to-make-gold/p1

Now don't bash me. I'm trying to help you out.
  • ^ he ain't gonna bash you. He's just a turtle compared to a croc like you. (If you don't get it ppl, go read Tower of God). lol
  • ^ But yeah I'm the real monster born from banana farm. :pleased:

Thing is, any gear other than starter, either obtaining it or enchanting it, should be a slower progress to get it ready for use. Now, we see many people having max gear or near max just days or even less after patch hits. But those are people who prepared for the patch previously, filling their stores of materials to get their next gear ready when patch hits. Anybody new to end game will be starting from little, and has to slowly gain both gear and experience. And believe me, you will need both to survive. While you gear up, make sure you do not stay stagnant in your player skills. Learn and better them and with the gear, you will eventually conquer this end game, and be able to prepare for the next before it even comes.
  • Well, I'm going to assume the guy that made this thread has no idea how to play brawler properly, I doubt he has even seen 600k dps on his brawler let alone 1.8mil+ dps that is doable in most of the dungeons. You're only losing aggro because you're not dpsing, dps = aggro end of story. It's also easy to keep growing fury up on mostly every boss fight. Before you cry about something make sure you are playing your class to its full potential.
