Can someone explain me why archer will be mid~top tier after update?

    As others have said if you're only hitting 20k with rapid fire you are using pounding crystals and hitting from the front. Even then I think it would be quite a bit more. I hit 300-450k per hit with last hit being 1-1.5mil. Archers are considered sustained because that's how our dmg works, we just constantly pump out high damaging skills. In long fights I will notice that classes like ninja and reaper will jump ahead when bursting (avalanche and shadow reaping) but I will catch up to them as the fight goes on, rinse and repeat. Tired of people saying archer is dead last like they know anything about the class or the potential it has when rng smiles on you with crits
  • I think the biggest issue with the archer is that there is nothing that stands out and says to players "you should be an archer".
    The archer is not fast. It's not well armoured. It has no blocks. Only two almost identical backward movement iframes. It has fixed range shots that are a pain. It has ping dependant shots. You can spend many seconds charging a shot only for it to not get crit and almost no damage. It has a support aspect that no one cares about. All in all, it's not an attractive package to players. Yes, increasing the crit rate will help, but it's not enough. They should definitely sort out Rapid Fire. They should remove the support aspect because no one seems to want them. They should drastically increase the DOT of poison arrow as a replacement ( as it stands poison arrow DOT is useless ).

    I wonder if @Treeshark @Spacecats can give us a answer if EME can do anything about this for us, or at least ask for BHS a special version, so we dont have this ping issue..

    I believe only expert/talented archers will benefit from these buffs. A casual, average archer before buff will be a casual, average archer after buff, and will probably not even benefit at all from the buff. So as nice and as amazing as the displays of archers out dps-ing ninjas and pulling great numbers overall are, this only applies to a very small niche of archer players who trained the class hard, have the best tactical judgement in game and have the talents to react and respond to situations quickly. Sure, I suppose the message from the pros is, Git Gud. Which is another problem the game has. What would make a casual player go the hard road to git gud at classes that don't give so good returns, when they have the option to steamroll through the game with the shiny new class that will anyways do more damage in the end?

    The problem with this game is not that difficult classes are bad. It's that the newer, easy classes have an unfairly high performance ceiling coupled with a low skill floor. If the game gave the most performance to the harder classes, and kept the easy classes just a bit behind in dps/tanking, we'd be seeing, in my opinion, a much more fair balance. Like in the video and dps meter posted above. The skilled archer, in a balanced setting where the skill ceiling rewarded the player with a high performance ceiling would be having much greater numbers than the ninja pictured. But as long as the class to beat is also the easier to play, true balance won't be achieved.

    This is just my opinion. Though, maybe I'm behind the loop on all this and some people think is fair to make the easy classes also the more powerful as well.

    or just make a new skill that share the same cooldown without the ping issue. that way you preserve pvp aspect
  • whomever thinks archers support feature is unwanted has no idea what hes talking about.
  • Just give us a (seperate) RF that works like traverse cut, shouldn't be that hard. Making some multi hit skills ping dependant and others not makes absolutely nosense to me. The reason I stuck with Archer as main since the beginning is because I like how the class plays. The constant weaving of in and out with the ability to output constant big numbers throughout the fight and provide some support? Sounds good to me
  • I really wish BHS make something about RF but you know, it will never happen. EME can only forward issues to Bluehole, but most of the time they don't do a single thing (they even continue to release ping depedant skills as burst fire or burning heart)
