About the forum

So i have some questions regarding the forums:

Why some people have a jail icon on the profile image?

Why just a few people have badges?

Why we dont have a Tech support sub-section? And a bug report section?

Why private messages dont allow bbcode?

    1) I think the jail icon is for people who received moderation warnings.

    2) The badges are for the members of the Player Council (who picked a badge avatar). (Edit: Oh unless you mean the badge that are associated with the activity section. These were turned on in the early days of the forum, but I don't know if they still work.)

    3) There's no tech support or bug report sections because EME now wants people to send in a ticket for that instead.

    4) Not sure about BBCode in private messages -- it's probably an option they turned off. Maybe they're trying to prevent people from sending clickable spam links or something...

Jail icons are people with warnings for TOS violations. Some of then even post yet I can't see their posts. There's also a red "Banned, move on" pic that replaces a chosen avatar picture if a person gets banned.

Not sure about the badges myself. I seem to have none at all. (though if you mea the visible badges in avatar pics, those are from the player council members)

Ironically, the suggestions section has a "no bug reports" text on it, but if you look at the web address, it does read "bug reports" there. So, no idea either.

Also no idea why. Shouldn't be because any limitation, since it's the same thing.

If you have issues you can probably just post it under New & Returning Player Help like some people do unless it's something that can only be taken care of by En Masse. Although keep in mind it's not guaranteed someone would help depending on the issue.

I can dare ahead and assume (blind shooting here, beware) that there's no real bug report section because maybe EME wants to diminish outside help, which usually includes a bunch of people advising to edit stuff like tera ini files or more Voodoo-ish stuff like core unparking. Sure, from what I've seen, most of these suggestions are in the best interests to help and have been proven to work (some of them) in many a computer. BUT, there's probably a billion or more PC setups out there, and what works for one may not work for another, so having someone with a vanilla version of Tera report their issue directly to EME through a ticket, I believe is a good way to AT LEAST minimize some of the randomness that comes with debugging so many technical problems on computer. Also, if they are real bugs, EME would benefit from knowing from the get go that they are happening to a vanilla version of Tera.

Anyway. I was just blindly shooting an assumption here. I'll shut up now and go over to that corner to cool down my brain. >.<

I thought that was just a bug, I even went into their profile and they had no previous posts at all.

I suppose that when you get enough warning level, but not enough for a ban, you are sent to a sort of Limbo where others cannot see your posts. But no idea if that's that. I just note some people showing up as last poster on a thread only to enter the thread and not see anything from that person there.
