Make CS a bit fair for low level players
1. Give them the belt.
2. Give them pvp crystals on armor Zyrk (x1 resolute, x3 relentless) , so they got to live in battle more then 2 seconds.
3. 3. Vyrks (Keens should do for most) on those accessories
I understand giving them crystals for weapon would be a pain. But Seriously lowbees with 2 Hexage / Pentant hardies is a joke

Lets give them Starfall+15 and a One-Shot mechanism that kills everyone in all the servers...
Clap-clap
If...
I don't know if lowbies under level 60 should be given premade crystals, just the generic 4 relentless concach, etc. (depending on your level), 4 indom. Lowbies can get one shotted most of the time, maybe some premade crystals would help.
If not, as lowbies reach level 30; have a pop up window open up for them, and show them a CS guide..
Like Mildlife mentioned, 1v1 or melee lowbies should be using the seiges and bombs, not pvping, so there's no need for them to equip relentless stuff. They won't have the necessary skills to pvp efficiently. Only ranged classes are lowbie friendly in CS. Seiges usage is in high demand all the time in CS, so that's one way I always try to be useful if I can't pvp efficiently as my lv.65 warrior or I try to guard the ladders.
Use seiges and bombs, they're there for a reason if you're not an experienced pvper.
Want to be usefull in CS??? Get to lvl 65 and stop qqing about being a low lvl getting rolled in CS
it would be cool if there was a merchant in the corner of the starting point that "sold" pvp related crystals people could use that game if they so chose to. it would also give people the chance to try new crystal set ups and see what works for them. the merchant would disappear once the battle started (since you have 1min prep time anyway that's plenty of time) and would appear again for 1 minute if someone joined an in progress game. obviously the crystals would disappear once the game was over. or maybe you could choose to buy them ith actual gold if you wanted to? possible small gold sink? ^^
wow it's almost like people want to have some fun while leveling and NOT rush to a lack luster at best end game.
At lower levels, and/or without right crystals, you're not helping anyone. You're a liability.
Also, they should make it so that you are given crystals and equalized gear, even for slots you have empty.
If CS is made 65 only, then the queues will suck.
This is just one method that is usually fail safe. The other is sending two proteams up mid to take mid pyre Holding it then letting everyone res to mid and forget the outergate all together and just go to inner gate. However you must have a real real good team to do this. Most likely true 65 will be holding mid as well.
On defense. you should focus on inners first. pro 65 tank to fire on ships 4-1-4 inners. If gate breaks one from each side goes to base and takes up base turrest for gate defense. The rest do not leave ladders. Inner wall tank shoots to mid to keep and assist in protection. Plus keeps and eye out for NS. There will always be a team that usually goes for it. NO lowbies should be at inners only true 65. Lowbies should be firing turrets at mid. If you are or sorc you should be inside at outergates providing defence for gate. High DPS only should be outside pvping No lowbies. I would recommend only a god priest to pvp outside with Team speak ability and a partner of your guild that can protect you. If you are a priest outside. You are a target and they will come for you. Sleep and run. Let dps handle it. Just keep Dps healed.
Stay in groups on Defence when you pvp outside if you spread out the priest can do nothing. You then will complain about heals, and then the preist will say. you went to far away.
When people lose they complain. It's because no body is listening. So what if someone speaks in plain English. Not everyone knows short hand game talk. like WYGD? wygd?
I came up with that but oddly enough someone else did and knew what I mean. response was chillin. Accronyms are something not everyone knows. So with this loooooooong [filtered] write...how about we focus on accronyms for CS.
CS Acronyms?
NS=North Ship
SS=South Ship
NG=North Gate
SG=South Gate
MP=Mid Pyre
NP=North Pyre
SP=South Pyre
IG=Inner Gate
BS=Back Crystal
SSMP=Southship to mid pyre
NSMP=northship to mid pyre
SSSG=Southship to south gate
NSNG= north ship to north gate
NSBC=northship to back crystal
SSBC=southship to back crstal.
now there is a confusion of terms for the inners. Some use LL for NL or RL for SL
LL/NL=Left Ladder/North Ladder
RL/SL=Right Ladder/South Ladder
Those terms apply to the inners
Any other ideas?
A popup guide already appears for them to be honest. The rest makes sense.
The reason why acronyms shouldn't be included in an inbuilt guide on Tera (for any battleground really) is simple actually. It is too much for a new user to grasp. It is in fact easier for newbies to get used to the system by following the crowd, and then cognitively tie it to the things that the people say. I would say it is good for US to write guides on forums (I am actually at the midst of making an actual guide alongside the majority of the strategies people have used over the last 8 months of so of me playing Tera.
Looking through the suggestions here:
I will just write a small essay of why this isn't good for the game.
PvP crystals were HARD EARNED from doing alliance dailies. (Okay it isn't that hard now but still not something you can do in half a day excluding the broker) Even if you are an elite it will take half a week doing all dailies and possibly bam-cap to get 4 PvP crystals. If you want niveots, you also need 1.6k vanguard initiative creds for a different set of blue crystals, plus whatever extra is needed from the weapon side.
To the old players, it wouldn't seem a ton since most have already farmed like 100x this amount already. To the new players it seemed a lot, but still doable if brought in the correct direction. Whatever that is, it will still be infinitely better than a level 65 player who uses full PvE crystals using a FotM class only killing experienced people due to 5v1s.
Realised I targetted the level 65s rather than the newbies? it is because there are still clueless level 65s thinking that level is everything, which isn't. In EQ PvP the only real difference between a level 60~62 and a 65 with all their skills unlocked is probably glyphs. You can equip Griefing and Indomitable Zyrks from level 60, which means that damage output should be roughly the same.
Moreover, not all level 65 players invest in charms. From experience (lots of games to back me up really), 65s who don't invest in charms (in particular mirror) tend to be the same ones who will just use "4 Fine Hardy Niveots, 4 Monster Backcrit Based Crystals and 4 Keen Vysrks" and wonder where the heals and damage are.
If people don't even spend money on charms, what is the chance where players actually will notice what a decent crystal setup is, let alone actually knowing how to stay alive?
Also, if you really want a goldsink, make something like a gold lottery system. Make the jackpot some bind-on-pickup fashion item that is not available in the Tera Store or is there at an exorbitant amount of EMP, and gold millionaires will spend the money. Ignore all the QQers who don't have money for gambling for this lottery. New players don't always have the gold to spend on temp crystals to begin with, since skills are so expensive and assuming a new player doesn't have buddyup have absolutely near 0 gold from level 40-60 because most of them will be on skills.
Strats like these aren't all foolproof. You have 20 people on each side of the team, but a large area to cover. There have been times I called or held a 2-1-3 from the start, when I know I will not face a ladder rush, and even if they do I will be able to potentially burst them down, and after the initial burst most of the pressure will be BELOW the ladders anyway so they have to take other objectives. Similarly there are times I call a 3-1-4 or a 4-1-4 just because of their high threat ladder comp, but I usually drop it down to 2-1-2 when obvious target is inner gate, for the sole reason that if there are people going for ladders they will be noticed unless the team just gets outtraded from bad pvp (in which they probably have a low chance of winning regardless). There are tons of games where people just go outer -> inner/mid split distraction -> stone clears in record times. When I finish my guide I will explain the vulnerabilities of every single offence and defence comp in mind, including the really really old 15/20 north gate 1:05 one premade climb to mid/inner ladders to stone.
Also, there is a reason why we don't use much acronyms other than LL/RL, NS/SS, NG/SG, MID. IG It is the most common objectives and items to take. (Also out of my time in Tera I have never seen someone use the term "Back crystal", what the heck is that?)
Not too sure when the tank buff is coming out, but it should be pretty soon.
