jumping on the "[filtered] this awakened enchantment" bandwagon
i now have a combined total of somewhere around 200+ failures to +13
Here is my proposal: give flat 1% correction per fail. I realize it's not suppose to be easy or cheap to get +15, but this is completely ludicrous when some of us spend hundreds of thousands or even millions without anything to show for it, nothing, 0.
This essentially caps the tries at 100, which is still more than plenty of a resource/gold expenditure. maybe give +14 a .5 or .25% correction, and leave +15 be so it's still a harder carrot for people to chase around and have their epeen factor.
Yes, I realize you can p2w your way up to +15 with the unbind scrolls and a pretty big sum of money, but when i look at my gear, or others inspect me, I want to see crafted by MY name, not someone else, and I'm sure some others feel the same

Considering the success chance for Awakening is estimated to be somewhere in between 2-3%, I'd say you got shafted pretty bad, especially if you had any bonus from TERA Rewards.
Guess I should go buy a lotto ticket \o/.
P.s. System still sucks and I agree needs a fail cap, however as stated before, that horse is long been beating six feet deep...
They don't compensate. I have sent a ticket on behalf of someone maybe 3 months ago and their response was "Our system is working as intended, were sorry for the inconvenience."
that being said, yesterday i got my sf weapon from built to +9 to MW to +12 to +13 without much hassle. then i did about 5 awaken enchantments with MWA or premium and all fails, no +14 for me yet.
So you're basically saying anybody who can pay 150-200k gold equivalent gets a free +15?
...
I'm not a huge fan of the current system, and I do believe the outliers of RNG get royally screwed and wouldn't mind a failsafe to prevent that, but it is what it is. There's been no mention or even hinting at changing the awakened enchant rates, in fact it's pretty much been the opposite. This is the system we have, so you can take it or leave it. If you don't like the idea of going through the RNG hell of potentially getting wrecked, just buy your +15.
This is basically Pay2Win and when this happens you will still complain cuz its pay2win
0 tries for +15.i bought em made
Fair point, but 150k-200k gold isn't free either. I suppose my concept of p2w is different, as I define it as "paying real life currency to obtain something that is entirely unobtainable by a non paying player". $50 for a +15 scroll would simply be an extension of pay for convenience. I am well aware that such an item would probably never exist, but even if it did, it shouldn't have that much of an effect on a non paying player. Honestly though, I'm probably just really fed up after having failed a total of what is now 72ish times and am still stuck at +12. I have a few other +15 weapons on other characters, but I'm pretty certain I've gotten all the way to 15 with less tries than this current one which has yet to budge even a tiny bit. You're probably right. I should have just bought a +15.
RNG is RNG. It hates some of us. Which is why I don't even play the awakening game. If it takes me 50+ tries to masterwork one piece of mid-tier, no way in [filtered] am I going anywhere near VM. You have fun with that. Some people are lucky. But don't [filtered] about it when you're not. You knew the risks. Or at least, if you didn't before, you do now.
If you really want BiS, do what the smart people do. Don't gamble with RNG. Earn your gold and just buy the [filtered] from other people who have better luck than you.
