jumping on the "[filtered] this awakened enchantment" bandwagon

i now have a combined total of somewhere around 200+ failures to +13

Here is my proposal: give flat 1% correction per fail. I realize it's not suppose to be easy or cheap to get +15, but this is completely ludicrous when some of us spend hundreds of thousands or even millions without anything to show for it, nothing, 0.

This essentially caps the tries at 100, which is still more than plenty of a resource/gold expenditure. maybe give +14 a .5 or .25% correction, and leave +15 be so it's still a harder carrot for people to chase around and have their epeen factor.

Yes, I realize you can p2w your way up to +15 with the unbind scrolls and a pretty big sum of money, but when i look at my gear, or others inspect me, I want to see crafted by MY name, not someone else, and I'm sure some others feel the same

  • There are no changes coming to the awakened enchanting system. You are beating a dead horse. I feel your pain bro but there are hundreds of other topics on this same issue.

Have you tried sending in a support ticket? I'm curious if EME support actually compensates players who have exceptionally bad luck with RNG. I know many other free to play games that do this, even Asian games.

Considering the success chance for Awakening is estimated to be somewhere in between 2-3%, I'd say you got shafted pretty bad, especially if you had any bonus from TERA Rewards.
  • I was going to post if any changes been made to INCREASE the odds cause just today I decided to go ahead and make my weapon(was going to hold off to go from lucid to vm7). I was surprised I got even luckier than my gunners SF(took 30 attempts total from 12-15) and only took 6 tries from 12-15.

Guess I should go buy a lotto ticket \o/.

P.s. System still sucks and I agree needs a fail cap, however as stated before, that horse is long been beating six feet deep...

They don't compensate. I have sent a ticket on behalf of someone maybe 3 months ago and their response was "Our system is working as intended, were sorry for the inconvenience."

Looks like I'm well on the way to joining this group. 50 fails later, still +12. I get it, it's rng, but seriously, I feel like I'm just being snubbed. There should just be a $50 instant +15.
  • i feel as though there is a hash seed that is generated that determines your toons chances to do things in game and each reset of the day, this changes. if you are having bad luck one day, don't keep doing it, wait a day or two and do other pieces of armor or dungeon runs or what have you.

that being said, yesterday i got my sf weapon from built to +9 to MW to +12 to +13 without much hassle. then i did about 5 awaken enchantments with MWA or premium and all fails, no +14 for me yet.

So you're basically saying anybody who can pay 150-200k gold equivalent gets a free +15?

    ...

I'm not a huge fan of the current system, and I do believe the outliers of RNG get royally screwed and wouldn't mind a failsafe to prevent that, but it is what it is. There's been no mention or even hinting at changing the awakened enchant rates, in fact it's pretty much been the opposite. This is the system we have, so you can take it or leave it. If you don't like the idea of going through the RNG hell of potentially getting wrecked, just buy your +15.

When will people learn their lessons that when you do awakening you must know the risk. If it takes you 1000 tries just to +13 it then you should have been prepared for the emotional struggle it will give. Still topics like these pop out like they didnt know this will happen.

This is basically Pay2Win and when this happens you will still complain cuz its pay2win
  • Make conflate
  • Is not about the time or effort you put into, it's all about the luck. Why bother try hard at this point.
  • I didnt pay a single dolar in emp while doing my starfall and all the set is +15, all I had to do was play the game, I fail to see how that is p2w
  • I got 8 starfall pieces +15
0 tries for +15.i bought em made

Fair point, but 150k-200k gold isn't free either. I suppose my concept of p2w is different, as I define it as "paying real life currency to obtain something that is entirely unobtainable by a non paying player". $50 for a +15 scroll would simply be an extension of pay for convenience. I am well aware that such an item would probably never exist, but even if it did, it shouldn't have that much of an effect on a non paying player. Honestly though, I'm probably just really fed up after having failed a total of what is now 72ish times and am still stuck at +12. I have a few other +15 weapons on other characters, but I'm pretty certain I've gotten all the way to 15 with less tries than this current one which has yet to budge even a tiny bit. You're probably right. I should have just bought a +15.

i though starfall was ez pz to make my weapon showed me how the rng worked. on the first day i made the weapon +12, awoke, and +13 then 100 tries to +14 to fail. some time later i tried again to +14 and it did on the 5th try just like +13 did on the 1st, so i tried to +15 a few more time to fail. the next day i tried +15 and it did on the 1st time. i did my glove this way (the wait a day) and it works. i dont know if there is some cooldown but maybe
  • Pay to win...? Who the [filtered] is buying $1000 worth of EMP just for gear? Elin costumes maybe. But for +15 VM? Please. The smart people get their +15s by manipulating suckers on the broker. Or by no-lifing the game until they have enough mats to craft 100 sets of VM.

RNG is RNG. It hates some of us. Which is why I don't even play the awakening game. If it takes me 50+ tries to masterwork one piece of mid-tier, no way in [filtered] am I going anywhere near VM. You have fun with that. Some people are lucky. But don't [filtered] about it when you're not. You knew the risks. Or at least, if you didn't before, you do now.

If you really want BiS, do what the smart people do. Don't gamble with RNG. Earn your gold and just buy the [filtered] from other people who have better luck than you.
