DFNM I can't see Verno Laser at the beginning of the boss fight, just at the end.

Ok, my PC is trash. I run Tera on the most minimal low-end settings. But i'm okay with it, because ping is my real enemy in this game. Or was. When i tried the DF, i couldn't see his laser. I've seen videos, so i knew when it was laser time, but, to me, the laser is invisible. But efter some time of fighting, usually when he gets to 40~30% hp, i begin to see the laser. I already tried to put "effects" level on max, on the settings, but the problem continues. Is there something i can do about it? Because at some point i will want to try the hard mode, and i'm screwed if this continues on...

  • This is sort of common from my experience running DFNM sometimes the laser just happens to be invisible and then the rest of the time it is visible I dont think it is because of you. If you cant see the laser im sure the rest of the raid can't. At least thats what ive experienced so far.
  • The laser can be a pain kind like in forsaken island last boss i would say its a common bug that need to fix it be the same with me about half way is when the laser will show up i also play low setting cause of ping in some spots.
  • I never had issues with the laser and I ran DF countless of times.

You're not alone. This is something that happens to a lot of people and it is quite annoying. What I've seen some people do is relog before the fight and that could work at times.
  • I see. This is really stupid, because i look like an idiot dying 3~5 times to Verno just because i cant see what hits me (and teammates dont help while i try to predict the laser position, because they just move randomly).
I think maybe i will put other video settings higher, even if it means playing at 10 fps.
  • I had this happen to me once. The first laser I didn't see, but the rest I did.

If you're with a mystic, try to have them put out a thrall, so when it dies, you'll know the laser is coming. I started doing this when people have troubles with it, it makes it a bit easier.

whenever you see the message "i will kill you all", try zooming in a bit. it doesn't have to be all the way, but it may or may not help render that first laser.

if not, the lasers show up about a half second after the poison puddles shoot out, and will pass by the areas directly in front/behind of verno about 2 seconds after that (iframe before reaching 2!)

Sometimes, it happens to me too. It's bad for tank. There is no one around, I can't even guess to dodge it.

And, of course, EME can't do nothing about it.

Hm, that's bad. can't help you as I play on max settings and of course I always see the red laser.

The only thing you can do is trying each setting seperately and do a run to make the laser visible. Meanwhile stick to the group and do the iframe whenever everybody else does it.

I just finished a DFNM run through IMS and one of the party members suggested us to wait for the "I will kill you all" notice and then look away from the boss (turn the camera) and then look at the boss again (turn the camera at the boss again) It seemingly worked for the members who had trouble seeing the lasers, this particular time lasers did load for me from the beginning, so I can't confirm if this works or it's a combination of good luck and autosuggestion...

There's a lot of suggestions out there and for all we know they all "might" work... maybe it's just all placebo but it's still good I guess.

Like op I play on min setting, except I do already get 10 fps as the norm because I play on a potato... and strangely enough I never seem to have many issues with lasers rendering, I've run DFNM about... 50 times or so? I can count with my fingers how many times laser hasn't been visible, although (once again, might be placebo) when it says "I Will kill you all" I just run towards it, as close as I can and move my camera a bit to so it's pointing straight at where the lasers appear... the few times I haven't done so I don't see the lasers.
  • Aces Wild update seemed to ninja fix the invisible lasers. Seems like all that talk about it being our potato pcs was BS, was a bug.
