They'll eventually do something about Velik's Mark.
I heard somewhere they were thinking of allowing the whole party to benefit from velik's mark. Can't remember where I read that though
Likely from IdioticGenius' translation, it's coming soon on Korea so don't expect it anytime soon here. Also it doesn't increase the party damage (would be broken) but each archer will have its own mark.
Then comes a sorcerer which I'm guessing is an older class like archer and suddenly the old MMO pita level grind was back. The cake walk has been replaced with trench warfare and I continually find myself retreating into another group of mobs and getting dog-piled. The area of effect of most spells have a dead zone between the caster and the spell effects which is precisely where the mobs tend to congregate - right in my face.
But it's all good. I may be totally off base on this but what I found with the brawler is that leveling was easy enough I made it to 65 not really knowing how to play the class and IoD sends me back for remedial education on a number of things including rage management.
Though the jury remains out I think when my sorc gets to 65 there will be no need for remedial education as getting lazy during leveling had consequences. If so, and it's a big "if", the newer classes don't mean you don't have to learn to play them right - they merely defer the requirement till the end game when you have to go back and learn what sorcs and archers already knew when they got there.
That's the theory anyway. Right now it's just speculation and subject to correction by any here. Including the part about sorcs and archers being somewhat alike in feeling "old school" against the new kids on the block.
What I'm mildly curious about is why the newer classes are gender locked to females. The brawler especially has a unique take on heavy armor. Not that I'm complaining. No sir, nothing wrong with that at all. But did anybody else wonder if the new gender locked classes were intended to sweep up the existing customer base at Scarlet Blade? I never played Scarlet Blade but it kind of makes you go "hmmmm".
If you are lvling and has infused charms, penetrating arrow > arrow volley > radiant arrow glyphed it's a nice dps behind mobs and bosses without mana problems.
If you get in tricky situations, dodge and breakaway bolt + traps can give you some space back. And you can even stun with close quarters as a archer close ranged.
At higher lvls, you will get some nice skills and will need a better rotation. Rain of arrows will change everything. At endgame equips archer really needs crit factor gear and proper mobility, so often you should use dodge and breakaway bolt as skills to reposition yourself faster behind bosses.
They aren't a ninja always behind boss every six, seven seconds, but they sure make some nice crits. 5kk is common, 7kk with radiant arrow was my best shot. And of course, no one would like to get a full rain of arrows backwards fully crit, it's over 10kk dps. Not too great for solo content, but for duo is really nice.
It's a nice legacy class overall, and i wouldn't bother if its a new or old class. If you are having fun, you are having fun. That's what matters most.
