Why Must GM Filter Peoples Opinions?
Why? Let people express their opinions. Yes you dont agree, yes you completely disagree, yes it stirs the pot but its just that, an opinion and most understand that. So why filter the thoughts of people? Let people be people.
You all seem to only capitalize on positive opinions because, ofc, it benefits your business. Sometimes negative comments are just as beneficial.. Let it be, let people be people. This isn't a day care. If people are complaining its for a very good reason, it's not because they want to be whiny attention feigning losers.

Just like you can be kicked off private properties for protesting, you can be kicked off the forum as EME's discretion. If you really want to rant that much you can take it to reddit.
reddit is irrelevant. This is a forum, rants are relevant. Dont like it? Forums aren't for you. Don't expect twitter sized comments. The whole purpose of forums is to converse about the game and anything that is relevant to that subject.
But they do. Anything that has to do with flaws of the game they remove/edit. I agree to a point but to edit/remove all negative comments is very biased. Some of these posts are logical even though they aren't constructed in the best of ways they make sense.
It's constructive criticism in a childish set up.
They monitor forums quite thoroughly. If that was the case it would be gone by now and i'd probably be banned.
The few cases i noticed they removed comments, is in case of (yeah, mostly negative) derailed posts that had hardly anything to do with the subject of the thread. There are a lot of threads out there with harsh( and often exagerated) comments without any "edited" line, so i dont believe they police all the threads for negative feeds.
(on the other hand, if they did, it means they at least read the posts - caring is something else still...)
Requiring people to be respectful in how they state their negative opinions isn't censorship.
Pointing out a legit flaw should in fact give you a pass. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean act like a child and delete the post or edit it.
People don't play god in real life why do it on forums? Because you can? Is that a legit reason to ban/filter people? No it shouldn't be. You can't do that in real life. When someone expresses their opinion you can't delete their ideas because its something that doesn't benefit your mind set. So just like in real life, let people be themselves, the same should be applied to the internet.
Don't like the forum's rules? Then said forums aren't for you. You don't go into a country and start breaking laws because you think the laws are stupid, then complain when you get scolded/incarcerated.
Reddit is the place for extremely heated debate, it's relevant because those are the types of things that get removed from the forum. That or just excessive, non-constructive, NaCl.
Also, you are talking to a person that had a thread with over 100 upvotes and 100 replies that was removed. I am well acquainted with the system, and it's fine.
I agree delete posts that have literally nothing to do with the subject that's being discussed. That i have no issue with. It's the stuff that gets deleted because the company doesn't like the way they phrased it or the aggressive route they took to make the point. Some of us are sincerely angry about stuff and react to things depending on how dramatic the issue is to us personally. That has value.
Are you really comparing expressing an opinion on forums to breaking the law?
Such a silly comparison. It's a thought, people aren't committing a crime. Please keep the comparison mild or at least remotely comparable.
The forum is private property. If I let you into my house and you start insulting me and my family, or if I let you into my office and you start insulting or verbally attacking my employees, I have every right to kick you out of my property. If people want to come to this forum and express their feedback on EME's forum in the hopes that EME will read it and consider it, they have an obligation to follow the ground rules EME establishes for how people need to behave themselves. And it's not even that unreasonable: just behave yourself respectfully. It's not like this is unique to EME's forums either; all private forums have rules that you agree to follow when you join. It isn't "the public square" and it isn't a free-for-all. Being able to say whatever you want doesn't mean there won't be consequences.
Again, asking people to be respectful is not too much to ask.
It absolutely happens in real life. Go into a store and start screaming and crying about something you don't like. You'll be asked to leave. It's the same thing here. Constructive posts that don't demean users and staff are absolutely not removed. The ones that are, are. If you don't like that then leave the forums and find an outlet that will allow that. Every other forum member understands that this is the way the forums work, and the ones that don't are banned.
