Is there a way to disable the ugly new banker/merchant icons?
They look terrible. I have NPC names turned off for immersion, yet those ugly icons remain there. Please let us turn them off.
I don't understand why we even needed those- we have the icons on the map.

Some people are helpless; "banker", "merchant", etc are not enough to comprehend what the npcs do. : ^ )
On the other hand, is easier to distinguish between, let's say, actual npc merchant who sell stuff vs npc merchant for decoration, but the size of the icons are uh... such eyesore.
Not everyone likes everything, i personally think those things on their head looks nice but i can understand someone who doesnt.
Or we could stop being politically correct and call both the creators and consumers of this .... "idea" .... more directly.
Kind of makes you sad, that they waste time for this fluff, when CD popup bar has been more or less subtly broken for over a year by now.
Priorities ...
I can't even count how many NPC "merchants" don't actually sell anything...
Sure, it's easy enough to find the ones who do from the mini-map, but it still kind of irks me when you have an NPC literally labeled as a MERCHANT, but they DON'T SELL ANYTHING. Talk about immersion breaking.
Anyway. Rant aside. I agree that people should be able to turn this stuff off if they don't want it. Helpful for some, annoying for others. This stuff should be optional and customizable. Ideally, anyway.
That said, I do find the icons a little unsightly and intrusive as well and would like to see an option to remove them. I believe the game does enough hand-holding as is, I don't think people found it too difficult to locate a service NPC.
