Warrior tank reborn \o/

That's right. Aces Wild revived warrior tank.
Tried it at easier instances, + 200ms ping, low fps... Dreadnaught equips +12 perfect tank rolls.
First party with two slaughter ninjas, another with legacy classes starfall equipped without huge aggro losses at all.
So, welcome back warrior tank, you were missed.

PS: I'm not saying it's the best tank ever, i'm not saying warrior master tank, but it's alive and kicking so... Cheers! :pleased:

    Zerk tank and warrior tank *could* do these things even before Ace's Wild. The issue is the massive gap between zerk and war tanks and lancers/brawls

    Aggro hasn't been an issue for a while if that's what you're implying, even for zerks/warriors
  • lancers have buffs and utilities for their team. brawler has raw dps output. what do wartanks or zerktanks have? zerk tanks dont even have infuriate which should be enough to make bhs embarrased cus its a joke.

    You see how much they've been buffing warrior aggro these last few patches...? 50% on ToB and shout as well as a buff to D stance AGAIN this patch. That's because warrior tank can't hold aggro against good dps. Part of the problem is warrior tank deals poor damage. The aggro can't scale and multiply off of this low damage while other classes are being buffed.

    What do you mean why bother? I answered what warrior tanks can provide and it's nice to see these changes actually benefit war tanks since I missed my warrior for a long time now. I can't wait to try it out.
  • Instead of giving aggro increases they should get rid of the reduction in power for war/zerk when d/stance is used in pve content. I understand the reasoning of reduced power for pvp but they can obviously make changes that only alter pve or pvp so it would make sense to me to do this. Now if only I worked for BHS.

    Aggro hasn't been that big of a problem. I tanked schm fine (ironically near only thing I did there), but .... when you see your dps output and compare it to brawler or even post-buff lancer ... you keep asking yourself what exactly are you contributing to the party in the first place.

    Other than that warrior remains a class with antique mechanics ([filtered] edges, im looking at you) until the real changes come at some point.

    FWIW it's a bit better now with BD/scythe buffs.

    combative strike + traverse has only %1 bonus over a full stacked deabilitate. its nothing compared to what lancer/lawler gives

    Let me be clear: warrior tank was not available on a average pc and +200ms ping. On knockout patch and shadows and secrets patch. I'm saying because i got one myself and tried a lot.
    Even at the easiest endgame instances many times you would sure lose aggro without gaining it properly, ever, again, just shouting and look at how your aggro would be lost 2 seconds after, specially if you get an overgeared ninja at parties.
    Zerk could make a nice work before yes, but warrior could not.
    Again, no one said it's the best thing that ever happened in arborea. But if i wanna have fun with this class and role again without public shame and boring people complaining about aggro in instance match, i can! Isn't that great?

    I agree. It's only that some people only want to play as the best as they see it and not try anything else. FOTM syndrome. For those people, second best shouldn't even be played by them nor anyone near them. They will still kick you from instances or not accept you on LFG only because the instance will last 3 minutes longer due to warrior's lower dps even if the warrior never loses aggro and keeps their debuffs on at all times. I would love to tank as a warrior, but being bad at gaming in general(mostly hand/eye coordination and reaction time issues which I cannot fix sadly) prevents me from anything too hard nowadays.
  • I wish they would've given us individual edge system before giving warrior these other buffs. It's going to be impossible to be the only warrior in a party now since everyone and their grandma thinks warrior is going to be op without any effort.

    Because warrior tank doesn't do as much damage as a lancer/brawler and those classes provide better debuffs. If you have an archer there's no need for traverse. Warrior will be desirable in uppers though for their leash. We are now just leash bots.

    They already removed the power from assault stance and put it in base power iirc. I wish they'd give us the crit from assault stance into pve crit passive chance. I think that's what they did to archers as well.
