Gunner weapon failing to enchant past 75%?

Title says it all. I have been burning through stacks and stacks of feedstock literally by the hundreds but my weapon just won't enchant past 75% fail after fail. Any advice to get it past 75%?

    Ouch... sorry to hear :( What are you enchanting? I'd suggest using premium alkahest if you weren't already. Plus choosing the lowest (or rotating between the 1st-3rd lowest) choice of feedstock per try to bring up the success rate. Might as well save on feedstock than consuming both right? :)

    Edit: Only use premium alkahest for level 65 equips. Not sure which item you're enchanting so I just wanted to clear that up hehe ;;
  • Oh I am not 65 yet. I'll have to log in and get the gunner weapon name. But this has been happening to me since I hit level 40 :( Thanks for the advice will have to try that. I'd at least like to get my weapon to 100% instead of being stuck on 75%

    Ohh okay, a lower level weapon. What do you mean 75%? Like the weapon is enchanted +7? As you level up, it'll become somewhat harder to enchant compared to the nearly 100% enchant success you've experienced in lower levels. So using up a couple hundreds of feedstock is common. If you run out of materials to enchant, you can continue to work with what you have until you gather more to try again. Alternatively, you can just keep it like that and level up until you get your next avatar weapon :)

    Hello there-

    I'm not quite too sure what you are talking about since you say 75%... so it would be nice to see the weapon itself or have you describe it a bit. I can though somewhat guess that the percentage you are describing is the weapon ilvl completeness shown underneath the weapon icon... okay, so-

    Have you masterworked the weapon? masterworking allows the weapon to gain additional modifier increments (1-3% of the base modifier) as well as the eligibility to enchant from +10 to +12. without masterworking, you will only be able to enchant up to +9. you can masterwork by use a Master Enigmatic Scroll and Identification Scroll- it is quite expensive at low levels so masterworking is not recommended while leveling.

    That being said:
    Avatar weapons are not eligible for masterworking.
    I personally do not recommend you to use any other weapon than Avatar weapons until level 64. this is because the weapon itself has a high critical chance passive which makes it far superior than other weapons of its level/ilvl. the itself is quite destructive to monsters of its level, but with proper crystals settings — Wrathful (rare), Bitter, Savage, Focused — you can pretty much clear any dungeon by yourself.

    Cheers,

  • I got the smooth operator gun now. This time it lets me enchant up to 80% before fail after fail lol. But I'll take 80% over 75% I guess :) Thanks for the crystal advice. Will need to look into some Wrathful as I don't have any of those.
