New Kumas guide?
I want to try that new Kumasylum, but I can't find any new guide or even a brief explaination of rules. Is it much different from an old one?

- your task is to kill the enemy mama or have your team mama more HP after time ended
- upon start, one player can steer mama kuma
- as small you have 4 special attacks, auto attack, a roll and a backstep
- there are 2 spawn points in the middle, top and bottom, where a portable healing buffs spawns
There's no "correct" guide out there. As Mama kuma acts like a Bridgehead, you can place Mama on the lower spawn and defend the healing spawn point; same goes for upper point. Of course also both Mamas can camp at start and let only babies fight. Also Mamas can charge head-on into battle and see which player duels better.
Currently, my stats are 16 wins, 2 losses, 89% winrate. So, whatever I'm doing is probably working.
>MAMA
While the meta is still developing, and players aren't that good.
As a mama your goal is to avoid damage, and help to get healing. Healing heals about 50k hp, so the difference between you getting it and your opponent getting it, is practically 100k hp.
You hang out around the side, using the walls and edges to shield you. Use fire breath through the wall if babies are following you.
Avoid commiting to attacks, use your jump ability to gain distance, and keep running around. If they use their dodge, and you're in close proximity of a few, you can use your stun to quickly deal with them. Then finishing them off with fire breath.
If you've gotten slowed, use your first ability, the slam rush ability. You can use this ability to walk through babies too, in case you're surrounded and unable to move.
Once the healing crystals are about to spawn, make sure your team is aware of it.
You'll follow the orange path, in general, to assist in getting the heal. During this time, you may have to commit to make sure you're killing babies. This is a good time to use your laser, shoot it between the pillars, to either kill an enemy heal carrier, or ones who are attacking the crystal.
If you have gotten the heal, fall back and avoid damage again. Don't stay and fight (unless you have more babies around you, and enemy kuma is dumb enough to attack you).
Sometimes it can be good to retreat back to spawn, if for example, all your friendly babies are dead, and enemy babies are incoming. Or if you have no help on defending, you might want a longer path to kite on.
Still, once you have retreated, try to jump out of there, don't stand and fight.
>BABY
Most babies should be attacking.
You can have one or two babies that helps the mama.
As a protecting baby, your job is to make sure mama is ok, body block machine gun attacks/slows if you can. You will also be taking the healing buffs, from the crystals. Help mama finish off baby kumas, but don't get too cocky. Keep a small distance from mama, to avoid body blocking her.
As an attacking baby, you will be focusing on killing mama, as well as taking healing crystals.
Avoid engaging other baby kumas, as it's a time waste.
Save your iframes from when you're close to the mama. Try to make her commit to her attacks, at which point you iframe to damage.
Getting a hit with a slow will help a lot. There isn't really a specific way to attack, in case there are a lot of defenders, just try to get some damage off on their mama, as they'll be playing a very inefficient type of game.
Machinegun has a longer range than firebreath, so if mama uses firebreat out of range, shoot her with machine gun.
When you'reclose to mama, you can just firebreath, she might be able to stun you, so it's good if you've managed to iframe her stun already.
(If the mama is good, it'll be difficult to catch her, since she's a bit faster, at least wit the jump)
Remember to keep an eye on the healing crystals, you might want to save machine gun to snipe the crystal if there's competition for it.
Kill enemy kumas who are hitting the crystal with your firebreath.
You can use your backstep to move faster, but apply common sense as to when to use it for speed.
If you are low HP, die as a baby. Your life is pretty much worthless. Killing babies does nothing for the score, and dying as a baby does not hurt your team.
>Additional
Some people think it's good to stay back with mama.
It is not, this will make it hard for you to compete for the healing crystal. Also, being in the spawn corridor will make it harder to avoid baby kumas, so while fighting, you will be taking unnecessary damage.
