TERA on Dell Inspiron 15-7559?

Anyone running TERA on Dell Inspiron 15-7559, i5 6300HQ & GTX 960?
How the fps in dungeon and whole content? Was thinking to buy it soon. Portability wise-often outstation for work. Thank you~ :chuffed:

I'd say a prebuilt with an i-5 and a 960 should run fairly well on mid settings. Maybe higher but I won't venture to assume how high. Anyway. Even if you try at max settings, there may still be some bugs with lurid display and aerial, so if FPS is very bad, try setting those to 1 first.

Hi Nopi. Actually I don't really care about graphic aesthetics but setting the graphics to low performance dimming is hurting my eyes.
Anyways I often ran preset 1 and 2 (a slightly toggling the distance and lurid) with my super potato pc (1st gen i5, radeon 6000 series). It ran pretty lag at most endgame dungeons 13~20 fps, cs 10fps, major town 20fps and in open world around 55ish.

Well if the budget allowed, I can slightly increase my requirements to i7 6700HQ pair with GTX 960m.

I did. Dungeons, I get around 40 fps IIRC. Out and about, around 60. Could get better if the settings weren't maxed aside for lurid display and lighting enrichment.

Oh. Low dimming is for like, super potatoes. Your game will look like a PSOne game. Don't use that on your current machine. Anyway. The i5 is ok. I don't have one of those and never had, but heard they work well in Tera. As for presets, I think it's always better to familiarize with the manual settings and go with those. Personal experience with presets have never been too good with me. Sure, your mileage may vary, but having full control of what you want to see balanced with how you want it to run has been the best experience in my case.

Definitely can do preset 3-4 with around 30 fps with that setup. But turn off shadows and some effects to get some smoother gameplay.
  • Right! Thanks for the advice guys :chuffed:
