EDIT: @Bluehydra I was reading through your guide and notices you said that warding totem does not overwrite Kaia's. It does overwrite Kaia's (Unless it has recently been stealth fixed.). It will show Kaia's active on your buff bar, but the effects are still overwritten.
Also, you may want to add to the guide that it is 100% PvE based (mostly dungeon.).
I'd test it myself, but I'm at work, then leaving for vacation for a week :pleased:
I just did, i was on my priest and asked a friend to auto attack me constantly and another to put totem as soon as she saw Kaia's.
It works, I received no damage until he actually broke my Kaia's. We inverted the order of the buffs after to test that as well, same results.
EDIT: never mind, my friend was just unable to break totem shield.. it still replaces
It has made me hate and dread running with a brawler due to anti-syn tho and almost made me want to leave a few dungeons and give up on the class. I love archers but atm they are weak like the worst dps class and they have this annoying bug that happens with the most popular tank class in the game.
My ONE BIG ISSUE, that's actually got me nearly killed a few times (mainly because I'm an admittedly crap Mystic tbh), is that when I'm flying or standing around in an area with a bunch of neutral, non-hostile mobs, my Thrall of Protection will aggro the non-hostiles. I'll be flying overhead or will be standing nearby in a corner looking at a quest or enchanting some gear, and non-hostile mobs will just attack my Thrall of Protection unprovoked. I land on my mount or I stand by my Thrall of Protection, and these stupid non-hostiles will just come after him for literally no reason. Things like the sheep and those giant venus plant things in Spring Valley, for instance; it's especially annoying with the sheep, because they're attacking in hoards- granted, they die quickly, but there are also a lot of them around and even if I manage to kill the ones that aggro and then try to mount up to fly off, more will aggro which makes it impossible to mount. And in the case of the venus-style plants, they aggro while my thrall does something as simple as just walking past them, and if I'm killing things in the vicinity I have to kill these stupid plants before being able to mount up to fly off.
This is INCREDIBLY ridiculous- I never had this problem before a few weeks ago, but while leveling my new Mystic I'm finding it to be a major hindrance in my gameplay. I can understand my ToP aggroing hostiles, but non-hostiles? Plants and SHEEP?! Seriously?? I CAN'T be the only person with this problem, or the only person extremely perturbed by this!
Though thr coments should revolve around mystic topic, I will asnwer. I don't think it's a bug but maybe it's intended. As an acher I have to start locking the crosshairs or shoot the skill pointing at the actual mob that's being juggled/knocked up. Seems like the hit box ascends with the mobs. Some skills still hit evne though the mobs is juggled like explosive arrow.
Basicly his only function right now is to take the attention off of you when your whole party dies so you can res people or just for the endurance buff.
If possible do not use him in dungeons under 65 since his aggro aura can actually steal the aggro from tanks under 65, given they don't have all their aggro skills, glyphs and gear yet.
General notice: motes have been changed with manglemire patch, im not having the missing mote bug anymore, if anyone else has had the same change, please let me know so i can cross it out from the bug list

I've had it if I've been staggered during cast. You can be staggered out of mote cast and get no self heal + no mote and the skill on CD. This has happened to me more consistently since manglemire patch.
I think that used to happen before as well. Back when they were a one-part skill it would go into CD if it was interrupted while casting i think its just how the skills work.
I'm talking about motes being cast normally with no canceling or interruption and still going into CD, with no self heal +no mote
actually seems to be working now. idk maybe reactivating the glyph did it
