Questions about gold
Still super new to the game and trying to find my way around, but I was wondering how much gold is considered a lot? How much do you think the average endgame player has? Im trying to get a feel for it all, still. Currently in the process of leveling so i'm not sure how gold making is end-game, but any advice is welcome for this noobie here!

In average I would say around 200-300k gold.
There are some gold-making threads on this forum in the guide section or here as well, but all depends on your gear and love for grinding or not (personally I would cut off my fingers before doing the same 3 type of bams on several characters every day):
1. buy emp
2. boring farming the same content (Island of Dawn quests or Channelworks on multiple characters)
If you have 1 character only:
[*] 4 Channerworks and 3 IoD BAM quest
[*] get the rest of the badges somehow (mob killing and gathering if you don't have time to run dungeons or battlegrounds) to maximize your vanguard credit
[*] if you don't have any badges left do Ghillieglade
[*] gather materials
But if you are new finding a guild and players who you can do content with can help you get a better understanding
And Essentialmana is a site you might want to visit if you need guides, it has a guide basically on everything.
If you want to make gold though, I suggest getting Elite. It doubles quest gold and doubles credits received which is useful for the 60->65 quest. You'll get a decent chunk of starting gold and enough credits to buy your niveots while the quest provides you with free Vrsyks at the end. Afterwards elite will double all your Vanguard Initiative Credits you receive which will allow you to gather more gold or enchanting resources like Masterwork Alkahest. Elite will also remove listing fees for the broker which saves you a lot of gold if you intend on making gold by selling materials and resources.
You can earn 10~30k with fairly little effort per day really. July 2/3/4/5 I made 28,459g 19s 17c/28,801g 96s 01c/251,343g 02s 63c/33,756g 14s 70c. (I have a spreadsheet of all income, expenses and assets) 3 of those days I slacked off and didn't really do a whole lot. This also is without selling resources as I don't sell feedstock, mwa, or crafting materials other than Goddess's Tears. I also haven't been selling items earned from the event as I have earned about 500k in items so far. The key thing is having multiple characters and properly managing your time and resources.
Best thing to do is Island of Dawn dailies currently and selling the highest value items with the tokens if you personally don't need anything. There's also Channelworks for the event+easy feedstock and Vanguard completion, although you'll want several characters for this.
As this is a virtual game, you have no real motivation to amass gold. So spending gold to zero is as useful as saving it for future spendings.
I'm sitting on 1.2 - 1.5 million gold buying power plus more in assets, but I'm no gold farmer nor trade broker. This simply comes from earning more than spending, going over years playing Tera. I always thought I'd be rich, but seeing players like Kamizuma who gives away 10k for fun in a global chat raffle, I would consider myself somewhere in the middle class.
Making gold only starts as lvl 65. Nearly every method of making gold involves having Elite subscription. If I were you, I'd buy Elite around lvl 55 as the hard part starts here (or even earlier) and ends at lvl 60. Lvl 60 to 65 is a stone's throw, done in 2h (experienced players). lvl 60-65 is also where you get to make up to 20k gold (I guess it's less now after changes), if you have Elite. Else it should be up to 10k gold.
