You can also try jumping from the skyreach flower platform, just climb up the vines near mahar spire and jump, then use some cheap bandages or a potion. You might need to remove some gear pieces and crystals before, though.
As for what I've been doing, I'm doing a bit better on my sorc. DID try slaying on my gunner, but not only did I have to refrain from using my companion which constantly healed me, but even with a crystalbind, the pressure of having less than optimal life made me commit too many errors and ended up having slower encounters. Might try later with my archer. Of all classes and oddly enough I seem to kill these things faster as the archer. I'm also feeling both safer as that class and the attack combinations seem so darned stylish, it's almost like dancing.
There's a skill to command your HB-7 to stay in place, so you can plant it a bit away from the BAM and it won't heal you as long as you don't stand near it. It will still hit the enemy with its electric bomb after you use Arcane Barrage, it has very long range.
Yes. Just note it's colors. Most bams become reddish and get some glowing parts. So long as there's that red and glows, the bam is enraged. On IoD, I've noted that only giants are hard to see if they are enraged because they seem to always have their mask on. Other giants have their mask on only when enraged, so these may be a special case.
And I know. Thread kinda necro-ish yada yada. But it's a question that needed answering.
Eh, I've always heard, it's better to back crit, no matter what. Unless you're tank. Otherwise, your primary objective should be to get behind and stay behind. Or so I've been told. Maybe I've been lied to... but I can't deny that back crits seem to be OP.
As for the question of enraged... aren't giants always enraged? They sure act like it. Always all "RAWRRRR!!!" and charging at me like I just peed in their cereal or something.
i use my regular crystal setup on brawler and full crit on priest.. i prefer to do giant...both on priest and on brawler.. hate nagas... they are too far from each other
This thread was necroed. That's why you'll see people talking about choosing nagas. Now, this is one of the reasons why necroing threads is dangerous.
No, no, this is an old thread. Originally you could spam the same IoD BAMs over and over again. Then they "patched" it and made it so that you had to do the pre-selected ones instead. Pay no attention to that comment. You can't do 3x the same BAM anymore, unfortunately.
All BAMs in Tera are easy to read on the att pattern once you used to them.
Since I don't have a 65s sorc so I cant help much on it.
But you could start with sleep then pop self buff hopefully a crit fireblast, after it if you want to be aggressive then you can teleport to BAM to start some close range skill like nova. Use stun+glacial retreat for position.
Mindblast > overchannel + burst of celerity > around 13-16m arcance pulse > fire blast (hopefully it off when arcance pulse hit) > hail storm > teleport in stun + glacial retreat for reposition > void pulse or nova then whatever.
You could fix a bit to meet the timing since I don't have a 65s sorc to test it out.
Then after it you could play close range... it easier to get behind BAMs with close range style btw even on ranged class.
