with every new release our beloved classes become more and more obsolete. more obscure.
one who used logic would assume that a progression of this kind would be towards specialization, to fill a gap, or to entertain.
but no, this progress is to make us inferior. to make one class better than all others. to create a master race that all must kneel before.
they came for the worriers and i said nothing because i was not a worrier main

but my silence has betrayed me, for my mage is now obsolete.
i was once the proud king of ranged dps, but than the reapers came
i was once considered mobile, but than the brawlers came
i was once an acceptable source of aoe, but than the gunners came.
i was once considered versatile, but than the ninjas came.
who now is left to speak for me? they come to me offering gifts of updates and revamps, but i have seen through the facade. it is nothing but a shiny coat of paint on the same sinking ship. we now face extinction, with a proud few who would rather brave the icy waters than pledge loyalty to a foreign captain, so that our legacy may live.
but there is another way. let us join hands. let our faults be known. let our failures give birth to a new kind. let the gapes in our strengths be filled by the next generation
do not give me a higher dps. give me a leasher
do not give me a juggernaut. give me a buckler
do not give me an iframe. give me shorter animation locks.
do not give me a new or unlimited resource. make me retreat
do not give me a stun lock. give me a challenge.
do not give me a better version of myself. give me a class than can do the things that i cant, but does not take my place.
i do not want an invincible lord of the elements than can lay siege by himself. give me a lesser mage that can weld a blade who can kite an enemy with savage but brief assaults.
do not give me a god of healing who swings a hammer the size of a building with the swiftness of a katana. give me a moderate tank that does not need to be baby sat by a healer, so that all is not lost if our priest gets breathed on by a boss.
do not give me a god of death that darkens the skies with aoe assaults that could eclipse a city. give me a tactician who can utilize quirky gimmicks and clever invention.
give me a battlemage
give me paladin
give me a tinker
but do not bury me beneath a flurry of new classes than make me useless in comparison
we must stand together and we must stand now

I am proud archer. Archery has been a well respected skill and profession in the world for thousands of years.
Then along comes guns. Point and shoot. No skill. No honor.
I stand with you, and we stand together. Proudly. :proud:
But really, it's not like old classes are being removed...new classes are not even that strong. Just easier to play and flashy animations, that's all. Still adore my slayer, though I have every other dps classes too.

Town guards these days. No sense of proportion.
The next new class is another thing entirely, and only confirmations so far are female only and not a healer.
The security in Whiterun is terrible. Shameful, is what it is. The guards in this city are all lazy and undisciplined. Things need to change.

Ok no but wait but seriously... it's really another sorc class? And it's probably going to be much more OP than the um *ahem* actual sorcerer class that we already have?
Isn't that just maybe kinda a little bit ridiculous? Why not just make next class an elin-locked RANGER that uses a crossbow with a 30m range, self heal, passive anti-death, metal armor, and a summonable pet that deals massive damage and holds aggro? OOH! And then next we can add a ZERGER class that yields a giant axe, has a self heal and a shield that makes it invincible... then we can add a new BISHOP class that has the ability to heal-carry helpless noobs through dungeons...ohhh then a SLAUGHTERER class that carries a giant broadsword... hey! Hey! Wait! What about... a stealthy ninja-like class that uses a giant shuriken, and we can call it an ASSASSIN?
