Recent Healer Balance Discussion - What Could Have Been
Let's discuss the recent healer changes. Your feedback, and just for fun, what you think could have been done instead.
In my opinion, they could have just given Mystic's Corruption Ring immunity to stagger, knock down, and stun, and given Thrall of Vengeance the current properties of Arun's Vitae/Arun's Tears "throwing" concept, (To give Mystics greater greater control over Thrall of Vengeance's position) and left everything other than Thrall of Life the same. I think at least the change made to Thrall of Life was a much needed buff.
For Priests, I think they could have given them the ability to Arise themselves while knocked down - similarly to how Gunners have a secondary knockdown recovery skill - or at least have given it immunity to stagger and knock down during its cast animation. I think they could have left most of the buffs as they were, MP costs and all, if they had changed Blessing of Zenobia to add combat movement speed instead.
I'm personally not a fan of the new Thrall AI (nerf of Command: Follow) and the removal of Titanic Wrath (nerf of Release: Aura of the Swift).

So, for PvE, these changes are fantastic IMO. PvP? No.
Of course there are situations in which a Mystic can use Command: Attack on a different target before attempting to cast, but my point is that Mystic has less overall control over the summoned pets than it used to.
While Aura of the Merciless has been greatly buffed, Aura of the Swift has been severely weakened with the removal of Titanic Wrath as an active skill. Even by itself, Aura of the Swift is still one of Mystic's strongest abilities. Despite the recent changes, I'm sure it will serve Mystic well in PvP; when used wisely.
Why? Can't break it?
Yeah I totally agree. With the new patch, despite the nerf to brawlers and ninjas, I'm practically spending half the time stunned/staggered/suspended/face-planted-on-the-floor in BGs.
Lol Kaia's alr gets broken in like less than 2sec the moment you get focused on in FWC or CS, what more do you want to nerf?? Plus the ridiculous number of things that kd/stagger a priest, the current Kaia's only give a very, and I mean VERY, brief respite.
