  • VM chest? Chest lines? Dyads? Weapon ones also matter for mitigation. Was the boss enraged? You lose 20% mitigation if not.

    It's not that blocking has become useless. People just don't know how tanking works anymore so they assume it's broken.

    Blocking almost has become useless (at least for Zerks) cuz only the basic attacks of most bosses are blockable, everything else isn't.

    A zerk dps or a tank? Zerk's block isn't meant to be a tank's block. It's just a convenient damage mitigation that can be used a lot and a block is sometimes better than a momentary iframe for some things.. It's a trade-off for zerk, unlimited block with good mitigation at the cost of less iframes. This only becomes an issue in the HMs or DSU. The evasive roll buff helped with this a bit. Years ago most classes didn't have the evasiveness that they do today, zerk being able to block was a huge perk. You don't really need more than 1 iframe really. But I wish zerk had another positioning skill that could go through bosses. I should point out that zerk now has unbreakable which can save you and a part of the cast animation is an iframe too.

    EDIT: To be more specific on the original classes:
    • Lancer can backstep more than once in a row now with recent changes. Originally had 1 iframe.
    • Warrior can roll more often now with RE changes. 3 iframes not counting repeated roll uses.
    • Slayer can roll twice in a row as of 65 patch. Originally had 2 iframes.
    • Archer's breakaway bolt is now an iframe. Originally had 1 iframe.
    • Sorcerer gained warp barrier and separated CDs for backstep and jaunt. Originally had 1 iframe at one time.
    • Priest and Mystic's iframe CDs were slightly reduced. Always had 1 iframe.
    • Apparently backsteps weren't even an iframe at launch. This was before I played.
    So as you can see except for warrior and slayer, all other classes only had 1 iframe. Zerk having a block AND 1 iframe was a big bonus.

    Most things don't require you to have a frame more than that often unless you're misusing it to avoid something that won't kill you, or you have a re-position ability that will allow you to dodge the ability but you instead use your frame.

    For dps zerk, it not a surprise that damage go tho block. And I doubt any dps zerk going care about it since it not a news. 5mins CD going save you once in a fight.
    Then lets talk about old dungeon like MC... how many skill need to use iframe?
    I can tell you all queen skills didn't even need iframe to dodge. It wont be 1shot, for those 1shot skill it just too slow that... you can get away just leap strike or dash etc.
    What people complain is since FIHM it getting more and more skill that unblockable 1shot.
    With the fps/latency/ui lag... GL
    It is just annoying like ABHM... for some classes/people.

    DFHM laser is close to 6secs between the twice or even three in a row.
    If there aoe lane already on the floor that limit the space you can move.
    You pretty much going catch by 2nd or 3rd laser...

    There a lot of things could happen in dungeon run. Not everyone have or like running in a static sometime.
    Don't talk about perfect game... it meaningless when only a few can do it and dungeon run is a team game.

    SSHM don't often need to iframe.

    If a game difficult just on making more unblockable 1shot skill... iframe is all you need... that kind of BORING.

    It has a chance to proc when manually blocking with counter. I personally don't use it and would much rather PB off my HM. Also most bosses barely hit the tank, and even the ones that do, I find PB'ing much better.
