Thanks for your kind words. So far I dont have too many questions, other than being curious as to what the best char to make for farming is. Is farming important in Tera?
It is in the sense you would need to do Vanguard Dailies and maybe even Ghiliglade for gold, credits, and resources. I find doing the Island of Dawn dailies to be the easiest as Brawler due to the fact you don't have to worry about constantly repositioning or needing to worry about being cced as long as you remember all the attack patterns/animations and properly dpsing as Brawler. It takes about ~15 minutes to do all 30 BAM kills for the max tier, item level 402 I believe, less or more depending on skill and gear for Brawler. The credits you get from this is used for things like Niveots/Vrysks, Masterwork Alkahests, Glyphs if you can't get it from the boxes, and currently a Smart Box for an outfit during this event. You can use or sell any of these items for additional gold.
For dungeons, you can do them as any class you wish, although again, I find it quick as Brawler due to not needing to move. You can just do quick Channelworks or Abcess Normal Mode for the spellbinds, feedstock and other 5x dailies. It's what I do on my alts. These two dungeons only take a couple minutes with decent dps.
Thanks for such an insightful post, it is appreciated. The only other thing I would like to ask is are brawlers pretty good for beginners? I am more of an old school mmorpg player (flyff, shaiya, etc).
Personally, farming is an important aspect of TERA, and it is a variable of how many characters you have. this is because you are limited to 8 Vanguard Initiative badges per day, and having multiple characters will increase the number of badges. you will most likely get feedstock for enchanting from completing Vanguard Initiative quests, and in addition you are only limited entry into dungeons which limits the the amount of feedstock you can farm, per day.
Brawler is a great class to do farming, in dungeons and soloing BAMs at the Island of Dawn (IoD). i would also use my ninja, reaper, and gunner as an alternative farming toons. i've specified all the new classes but old classes at least to me are equally viable to do farming. i have had no problem getting them done in the same amount of time as my brawler does, in equal gear. the difficulty may however vary.

Brawler is one of those classes that are simple to use but take time to master. Although, since the BAMs and some dailies are solo it is even easier as you don't have to worry about positioning. There are some guides around for glyph setups and you'll want to learn the timing to cancel out animations (which you do for every class). Why I suggest brawler is because some BAMs have constant knockdowns/stuns but Brawler can simply block them and not be cced. There's also the fact they can just attack from the front where as other dps would have to focus on constantly attacking the back of the boss. Due to that, Brawler ends up being simpler to do some of these dailies.
Regardless of the class you pick neither would be easy to fully use due to how Tera's combat system is and class design.

Welcome to you as well. I'm on TR and I have several chars, including a ninja. Don't worry about missing quests, there are tons of quests in the game and most of them are unnecessary... besides you can always go back and do them later if you miss one. No need to delete and restart your char unless you don't like the way it looks.
