Gather skill necklaces?

Does the bonus aid one in gathering the rarer items more commonly? In particular, I ask for the bonus gained from gather skill from the necks gained from Trade skilling. I must admit to be a bit lazy on gathers up until getting Weapon Smithing maxed. Thank you!

To be hones I don't know for sure, but my experience tells me that those only helps you gather higher tier nodes successfully than your actual gathering skill level. For example: let's say you have plant gathering at 200 and equip a necklace that gives you +50 points then you can gather nodes that requires 250 skill level without fail. I tired to use these at max level, but I haven't seen any difference in regards of getting rare materials more frequently.

i remember there being somewhere you could start gathering from 0 to max, was ti alliance zone ?
i can't remember, but you didn't need to fly all over the map from gathering level to gathering level.

Alliance only get you till 100 or something like that. Maybe rootstock plants for plant gathering, but I don't think those can level to max even if they are it's only for plant gathering.

it is only to be faster

and if you want to max your gathering, go in level 65 area and gather all the ores, plant and essence :3

technically you could do northern arun nodes from 0-350, as failing gives you proficiency as well

the only necklace that has any impact on gathering (other than giving you enough to gather a higher tier node without fail) is the 'swift gatherer's necklace' gotten from getting 350 in all three gathering skills. it increases the gathering speed of just about every node in the game, despite its description saying it only works on northern arun.

it's very useful for low level quests that require you to 'gather x item' from quest nodes, and also stacks with felicity's extra gathering speed
  • gotta love that necklace... so much faster with that lol.. but i usually forget to change it and i end up going to dgs with that crap lol...
i got lvl 350 on gathering at IOD... killing bams, gathering things... failed a lot... but i was too lazy to keep gathering those useless low lvl things (even tho u have the chance to get scarabs, so might worth it).

the best necklaces for gathering is 'Wold Leader' one for 500 WB. As it increases the chances to gather rare mats

where can i get it if its still obtainable?
  • what do you do if you discarded the gathering necklace , can you ever get another one ?or only from the gathering quest?

Submit a support ticket. I accidentally sold mine some time before Spellbound hit, and while I could make do with gather scrolls back then, after Spellbound, that wasn't an option, so I asked support if I could get another one, and a couple days later, ta-da, new necklace. Just remember to be polite.
  • It is recommended that you level your gathering going from tier to tier so when you max out you have enough materials to the "Bolstering the homefront" quest that gives you an extra row in your inventory. You need 50 units of ore/fiber/essence of each tier for that. I think the best gather necklace is the one you get when maxing all gathering to 350, even if it says that increases gathering speed in north arun, it works for all the world zones.
  • where do you get the " bolstering the homefront " quest from? is in velika? is it a yellow quest?
  • Revived thread, but new question.
"Bolstering the home front" is a yellow quest given by the inventory NPC in Kaiator; it's a Popo. Look on the minimap (you have to have "show quests on minimap activated in your options). Kaiator is build like a clock, the NPC is roughly at 6 o'clock/middle of Kaiator.

As mentioned, you are being sent around Velika -> Lumbertown, etc. to hand over raw materials. When coming back to Velika and finishing the quest, you're given your last row. The actual maximum is 104 inventory slots, so dont worry if there's still a locked row on the bottom.

gater skills was necesarie in Tera Rising pacht when you leveling gatering ( before this pacht if you gather skill was a 40 and you gather verda fibers you can fail, gater skills was for increase the chance to get gather sucess )

but in this pacht they change the profilence in gather skills from lv 0-150 and you cant fail any tier 1 gathering

world leader pendand gave you +50 gather skills ( and is posible gets in lv 30 ) but im used with felicity ( felicity profilence depends from gater skills ans they are maximun 355+50+40 =445 maximun profilence

im do test about use with felicity, but they afect diferent manualy gather and auto gatering from felicity

im no sure about you can obtain more "rare" mats ( like scarabs ) more often under 445 vs 355 profilence, but im guess yes

only dont use with felicity yet
