Sorcerer noob in need of help

Hey all I just hit level 46 on my sorcerer and getting very confused with all the spells I have. Can anyone tell me what are the ones I shouldn't keep on my hotbar? And which ones should I use in pve and pvp ( on pvp server). So confused please help.
Also is Time Gyre worth it? Seems to not do what it is supposed to do 90 pct. of the time. so how on God's green earth do I put down a fire blast on them?

Check this guide out by Yosha. It is about end-game, so you might not have some of the skills, but getting used to the heavy hitting combos from the beginning is nice.

You can check out Yosha's channel for videos on how to sorcerer.

And here is an older video about how to sorcerer in pve by Enmasse and Fraelian. The rotation and some of the skills got changed a bit, so just to get the skills I would watch this first.

I'd honestly just wait. Sorc is getting revamped hardcore soon. Their entire skillset is getting entirely fixed so they'll end up becoming a dumbed down dps class where you just have to spam the same 4 skills over and over again. BUT, according to ktera players, that revamp will improve sorc dps ranking significantly.

you will still need most of your skillset, although there will be fewer skills in the entire rotation now.

Now that actual PvP is restricted to 65s I will just say this:

Before you start, take out fireball from your skills.

Keybind EVERY OTHER SKILL (Only exception is probably retaliate which is fine to spacebar)

For PvE Painblast, Mindblast, Nerve Exhaustion, Burning Breath and Time Gyre aren't that useful. For PvP you will use every skill barring fireball unless you want to BM someone. If you think at level 46 you have lots of skills, fret not as you still have lots more skills to keybind to go.

no true........ not all
if you leveling in pvp server, somes glyps pvp typo works in bams too ( only unless in dungeons and end game dungeons, they notice like all "pve" )
like a ice needle + mindblast speed glyp and time grey + fireblast speed glyps ( of course, mana volley, nerve and burnd bread are useles in bams/world boss )
same for magna boom glyps 30% reset cooldown, usefull when you soloed

for pve, the skills rotacion are very complex ( like a warrior) and they change in end game

sad, sourcer is complex, hard to get master with him, and you need take a time for know how is it ( im take my time for this class)
dont level too fast and enjoy the advantajes with him

Sorcerer may be the most difficult class. You have 3 self buffs that should be constantly on CD (or not, depends), you have stationary nukes (fireblast, nova) and mobile spells. You have to deal with different CDs, that's why you cant drive one easy rotation but have to change constantly.

If this is your first class, I'd perhaps recommend to hold the sorcerer and try out another (DPS?) class.
