i like the ideia of addin more than one effect in one skill.. cause that leads to fast decisions... using ur kaias example: "should i use kaias now to protect my team or should i use later on burn phase to speed up with the crit buff?" adds utility without removin the fun...
and yeah, i never understood why mystic have that op vow lol... makes me jealous... :V
mystic res is slower, let's not forget you need to target it, if your target runs out of range it can go on cd with no effect. Also mystics get this at level 42, they used to have a self res when priest did not (before the level cap was 60 and priests got one).
This, right here, is the gist of my point. For years now I keep calling people idiots for saying "mystic is offensive support, priest is defensive" and it still persists despite not being true. The only time I can think of where such distinction could be made is MC HM, specifically the time when a priest could heal through "insufficient wave". But people are lazy thinkers, they heard it was like that and never went through the trouble of figuring out if it's true. The same thing happens when you create overly complicated differences between 2 classes that fill the same role. The theorycrafters will do some math and come up with "this class is better if you have 100% uptime on all skills". Regardless of whether their math is flawless or they divided by 0 at some people, whether 100% uptime is possible in practice or not, the majority of players will take it as gospel and keep repeating it. And then we are back here, discussing how a class became useless. If the end-results are very similar, it's a) easy to see and b) easy to balance. I, personally, would be prefer to be done with the fotm healer class dynamic and just have both of them standing on equal ground.
Priests are still better at healing and providing defense, anyone who doesnt agree with that really isnt trying to heal at all imo >.>
If you give the same thing or effect to a Priest, i dont see why someone would want Mystics in their party. The way i see it that would just make it go back to what it was.
