If I had the time I would do every single quest found in this game without a bork levelling system.

As long as there is an interesting storyline to the different reputation factions I will remain interested tbh.

they could improve on how they can tell the story as you play the game and get rid of the redundant questing mechanics like gather this, kill set # of monster and put something that would really make you care for the story.

I finished the story of tera and its good but yah you need an iron will of attention span for it.
  • I only read half of the story quest from lvl 60 - 65... its pretty good.. so sad lol... but im too lazy to read it all...

The only thing I personally really hate is the timed-scene mechanics. There are two or three that I can think of off the top of my head (for example, the story mode in Cultists Refuge) there's a part where you have to protect a person from monsters for like three minutes. After you kill the three monsters that spawn, you sit there for another 45 seconds before another group spawns, and then you burn through those. After the last wave, you sit there some more for another 30 or 40 seconds until it's done. I hate having to wait for those things because they're so easy, and most of the time is spent sitting there doing nothing. Either make them more worthwhile (ie. harder/better rewards) or remove them from the story quest. There's little point in having them there.

Sorry for ranting, but these are just my two cents. Other than that, the story quests are okay. :expressionless:

well they didn't use to be that easy before u could wipe in that dungeon and u barely had time ti kill one wave before the next comes

The only thing I'd like changed in story is to stop calling the player the 'only' hero around. This is an mmo, there's no 'only' hero here. Also, the timed quests could have added way more enemies to keep people busy.

Lastly, you could have changed the title of your other thread if you wanted more visibility. Since they both seem to be asking the same question. :)

@BusinessCat > So you prefer more simplified story lines while keeping it unique and not repetitive? I know a lot of gaming companies now of days find "simplifying" quests are making them repetitive and generic. Ex: kill 10 mobs, collect 5 things, travel so far, repeat.

i dont care about it being repetitive.. i just dont like the text wall... xD

youre not the only hero. theres elleon and jelena and others. and dont even get me started on rhodos ks'ing you.
  • Not in general, but I liked the story of Zolyn and Paesyn a lot.

It's ok but its dragged out way too long. If they could condense the story and reward XP accordingly that would be a nice change while implanting ways to learn your class.

This is one thing FFXI got and executed well. You weren't some amazing hero in the story. Most of the time you weren't even really acknowledged. You just were an adventurer, one among thousands. You were never the "Chosen One" like in every other MMO.
