The proper name for the Ninja class

Tera introduced the Ninja class in the "Secrets and Shadows" Patch. The ninja class for those who are unaware is a high damage high mobility class, with the trade off of being rather easy to kill if caught. This falls in line with traditional beliefs that ninja's are fast paced and hard hitting. However the one problem that i have with this is well, it's misnamed.

You see due to the fact that Tera decided to make the ninja class a female exclusive class, (Specifically for the elin race which only has females.) the proper name for this class should in fact be Kunoichi. You see the definition of ninja is

Ninja: A person who is skilled in ninjutsu. That is a gender neutral term, meaning for males and females. The definition for Kunoichi is
Kunoichi: is the modern term for female ninja, (previously meaning male or female)

Now i know, a female isn't automatically a Kunoichi, as the gender identity only started popping up in modern times, (I may be wrong with this but everything I read said this) however I believe that the class should be named Kunoichi, or at least sub-named.

Pointless post I know, and please do not misconstrue my honest opinion for criticism, I thoroughly enjoy this game, and the ninja class, and hey if I'm wrong, show me how, I'm always happy to gather new information.

    That's great to know, the concept behind how the term Kunoichi is made up of is actually quite interesting, and I didn't look it up until now. However, it also seems to derive from a Japanese term or translation, and perhaps that in itself is why EME chose ninja. If you look at the names of the other classes, they sound a bit simpler like "archer", "gunner", and "brawler". They are simple terms that the core of the class would be understood by a lot of people simply from the name. It would kind of seem out of place to name it this at least to me, and it could perhaps make the "we want a male class!" people even more upset. Thanks for bringing this up, though, Good stuff!

    EME didn't choose the name 'ninja'. BHS did. They are Korean, not Japanese. And lastly, you all said it. Kunoichi IS still a ninja. Female yes, but still a ninja.

    SURE, other than the shuriken themed weapon (which is not a shuriken at all because it's massive and no self respected ninja would carry something so bulky), and a few moves here and there, this falls into the fantasy ninja that tries to deviate itself away from what a true ninja should be. Not that many games actually get the concept right, and even more 'realistic' approaches like the old Tenchu games grab some stuff from fantasy instead of from real life.

    Ninja is more English friendly.

    Don't you think tera would eventually make the classes for all races? but for now will sticks to race-locked?
