Aside of fixing, wouldn't copyrights also be an issue? Remember we didn't even get the full leotards because of potential copyright issues.

We have the Cheshire cat costume and mad hatter costume.

Hm. Sure. If the copyright holds all of the costumes, it should only be about fixing the physics problem. If every costume needs a separate permission, which is unlikely, then there would also be that.

Trying to delve more into any reason why they haven't fixed this outfit, wonder about it's popularity on the markets BHS seem to be empathizing more, so, Asians(and this assuming BHS simply doesn't care about what the West wants and caters fully to Asians because "the West will always buy no matter what")

So wait, are you saying that Asians don't want the Alice dress? Or that Asians like the fact that it's broken and prone to random panty flashes?

As for the stereotype that us westerners will always buy stuff, even crummy stuff... well... it's.... unfortunately true. We want stuff! Give us stuff! *throws money at the screen*

Alice in Wonderland is public domain. The Disney film hopefully obviously isn't, but you can't exactly copyright a blue dress with a white apron (as much as Disney would probably love to ;P)

Don't be so sure, "You can copyright just about anything these days."™

Was asking about popularity because it seemed to me that what Asians wanted was what was added to the game..... But after reading about the new UI changes, I'm starting to believe that it's not even what Asians want, but what some power pullers inside BHS itself want. <.<

I don't think it's really possible to "Fix" the costume without removing the physics due to the way they did it (and the engine they're using), and the physics are the main selling point. So for the markets that already have it, they're probably going to just leave it. But for markets that didn't get it yet, they've held it back. (In EU, they replaced it with a pre-dyed maid outfit instead.)

I assume it's a case of trying to weight if it's going to sell well if it gets fixed or if it's not going to be worth. After all, fixing it requires someone to do it, and that someone will charge for it. OR it will be someone already in the team but with all the other changes going around they can't spare anyone for the job.
  • Agreed with all the comments above. They made it clear, even just recently when it started getting released due to a patch bug, that they would never release it if it's not fixed, and it still isn't fixed. They even took back all the ones that were accidentally awarded. So yeah, my guess is: never happening.

Well, I have to say sorry for this thread then. I didn't know new staff had already made a statement about the dress.
It was not my intent bring false hope :(

I personally do not care if this outfit is bugged, i just want it already. I believe RU Tera also has it? It's not like we don't already have a ton of bugs with this game anyways. At least a cute costume would be much worth.
  • I'm the only one that is not sure about the bug? Maybe, the crazy animation was intent.

You might not care, but En Masse does care and that all that matters on the Alice dress.

I don't think that it's a hard thing to do and even if the Asians like of this bug, they could fix it in a region and in the other not.
The only reason for it not be here is the BHS. There is alot of things to fix on Tera, take an exemple the Snow Leopard mount, if i'm not wrong, it doesn't blink. This is a know issue from years ago back when I started playing Tera and still is even now. The BHS don't have any interest in such thing.

@Spacecats can you give any info about why its not coming? if its ever coming? and why/why not? i know there was a bug with the skirt when u went near another player with the same costume and such, but i want to know if that is fixable and if you are gonna put time into fixing it? i personally love this costume and its design and i really hope you guys take the time and effort to fix it. but i was hoping for an update on it? thank you~
