Check out War Frame or Riders Of Icarus. See if it's more to your liking.
  • People in this game are really spoiled. The game does have quite a bit of improvements to get around to but the staff actually do quite a bit to satisfy the community.

I personally dont have the time to play TERA anymore.

The staff are insanely charitable and sometimes makes it hard to hate the game lol. I will state one thing that turned me away from TERA. That one thing is the fact that their is nothing to do while you're queued. Long queues wouldn't be such a frustrating factor if we had other means of making money while you wait.
15-40 mins doing nothing is a huge waste of time that can never be recovered. The day just flies because of this gap of time being thrown into the trash. The next thing you know its 8 pm in the afternoon and wondering " what did i do all day? " with almost no advancement.

An alternative to trying to counter this problem would maybe be some type of alert system so people could at least minimize and browse through the internet while they wait. Kind of like you get whenever someone makes an offer to one of your items. The TERA icon blinks. The main fix to this is to create activity outside of BG'S/DG'S that benefits your character in 1 way or another. That would be my dream in TERA as an improvement.

I just can't sit around staring at my screen for 15-20 mins just to get into a dungeon/battleground. Sometimes even more. Actually, more often than not it's longer.

Will be back but for now it's time to get away from TERA.

TERA died for me the moment that I couldn't use this anymore:

Favorite part of TERA, sure it wasn't perfect but did a lot more for the community than Alliance and Crusades did

Guilds had events for the community, there were actual rivalries and there were groups of people that dedicated themselves to farming the BAMs, as well as being active in the community.

It was way more collaborative than Alliance or Crusades, which are competitive only content.

Yea our guild Desire was active, our members loved going out and helping lowbies with their bam quest, we turned the taxes we collected back into the community as prizes for Lore Trivia. But this was a different area in TERA that seems to be gone.

They are probably referring to all the class changes. Any class that are getting major changes will essentially play and feel like brawler, ninja, reaper, and gunners... erghhh...

hooraay ! finally. bout time the underpowered classes were made to be fun , like brawler and ninja . yay!

the queue thing tho, i agree completely. If players were able to be in multiple queues at one time , and also be allowed to be in those queues WHILE being in an instance , that would be better. then you could do other instances while waiting, like the solo ones and such.

Those so called improvements are a distraction to the obsolete content that is forgotten. No this game does not have much improvement really compared to the amount of time that it has been around, not much has been done at all. If anything the game is getting worse.

    Really, what happened?
It had such a beautiful concept...
    Then boom! Elins.

    ...Just kidding. :chuffed:
But seriously, this game had a dream... This game was a dream. A dream of Fantasy, Magical Technology, Mythology, Diversity and Immersion.

But now it's called "afk at highwatch till your 1 hour queue for CS/FWC pops".

... Yeah, I have beef. :frown:

it is cute elin online now :)

true endgame is dress up your cute elin and show her cuteness in velika or highwatch :)

with the new kumasylum you need to wait more for cs or fwc B)

What sort of improvements would you like to see?

Community likes to just sit and bash the game but never actually give constructive criticism. When comments are like " oh this game is shet ", " staff suck ", ect ect.. it's difficult to even take people seriously.

First I'm not one to put up a big conversation anymore these days, especially sense the facts of what needs to be done is so vary transparent. I could give you a whole wheel barrel full of ideas on paper but they would only be ignored. I'd rather not go into lengthy details so I'll just put forth a very extremely short list of things.

    1. No more gender lock classes.
    2. Introduce a Summoner Class.
    3. Improve Game Quest and Content
    4. Make leveling harder.
    5. No more gear drops
    6. Return to old school crafting of armor and weapons to be of top choice.
    7. Introduce Aerial to Ground and Ground to Aerial combat system.
    8. Remove the Fashion extravaganza.
    9. Remove the Aggro stats from gear for priest, wizards, sorcs, archers, mystics.
    10. All parties should be premade for dungeons, no more queing for parties and no more cross server matching.

That is only an extremely small amount of things, rather in opinions since you had to ask.

The original team that developed TERA is gone, replaced with a new one. So the concept went that way
    >. But yea I loved TERA when it came out, the new Kawaii styling isn't my taste at all. But hey once some thing better comes around that offers what entertains me the most I will move on like I have in other venues.

why did they replaced them tho i have wondered that for a long time

@OriginalAmorphous Well, you know that you're saying people are spoiled but you quit cause of the long queue's right?

Why can we bash when deserved?

Our NA staff is great, and the game is really fair, and that's a plus, but what if you had a chance to actually doing crafting or gathering while waiting for the queue to pop?

No wonder lot's of people just leave after the first one/two weaks after every patch, simply this game is becoming smaller and smaller instead of bigger and bigger. I'm fairly advantaged since i like to RP and it's quite hard to nerf my creativity, but if i look at what is left to do during endgame i don't know how consider a further dumbing down.

Yeah, so? I quit because queue's is not under their control. Just because you have all the time in the world to play TERA doesn't mean i do. My time is valuable. Not going to sit for 30 mins to join 1 dungeon or 1 battleground. Thats assuming it isn't a trap DG/BG.

If i was a bit younger and careless with my time then just maybe, maybe it wouldnt be such a big deal but even then I think it would still annoy the crap out of me.

Theirs a simple fix to this but i doubt the developers will ever let this slip through the cracks because one of their main concerns is botting. I think they should stop worrying so much about bottings because yes, whie they do get rid of the gold sellers you're also hurting the players. I read some patch notes from korea that they will be reducing gold drop from the last few that drop it and some other nerfs from open world bams. My ideal scenario would be for them to buff outside world bams so people hae other things to do.

Crafting is not fun.. I personally could care less about crafting. I want to play the game the way MMO's are meant to be played.

Yes the staff are very kind in this game. Trust me when i say that. Ive been around the block for quite some time now and let me tell you there is no other MMO that i know off that compensates and rewards their community as much as TERA staff does.
