Thank you for the kind words my friends.
If infamy was butchered by me doing 3 events spread across 3 years then I am honored from Bluehole that they would do this exclusively for me. To be able to influence the game as one mere player to change the penalties for an entire game system is too much honor for me. My only wish is that they erect a statue in Bastion in my honor. I will surely strive to be able to face other players at max level some day.
People saying max level ganking is OK because it has existed since the beginning, and exists in other games too.
Also people wondering why OWPvP is dead when they encourage players to stay away from the most populated channel at any given time, and celebrate lv65 massacres.
I mean.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As usual, people missing the point. Seems like most just can't seem to think beyond defending their own right to be an idiot.
Ah well, whatever. If they push players to stay out of the overworld, just means faster dungeon queues for me.
I suppose, I'm also not dumb enough to stick to Ch.1 on an alt.
Considering lowbie ganking in Ktera is impossible, I have no idea why they'd make those changes for their region when what mudkip does in NA can not even be done over there. They could just give infamy changes to NA/EU Tera to be exclusive for their region.
Switch to a different server or channel..?
Anyways, considering how annoying the new classes are in battlegrounds (like brawler), tbh I bet they'll be doing the same thing to others when given the chance.
server switching costs like $20 per swap. Not everyone sees the little channel text smaller than anything else on screen next to their compass (I remember during gunner release, devs put signs outside crescentia informing players about the ability of channel switching). OWPvP and battlegrounds are different and much more even gear-wise, for fun when I was leveling an alt I remember seeing a level 65 player standing outside crescentia with outlaw on and allowing around 5 or 6 level 20-30s just wail on her, her natural HP regen was faster than their dps, and she couldve killed all of them with a click of a mouse button, something like that doesnt happen in BGs where theyre equalized
Although, there are slimy little creeps on PvP realms who do get off on these events. Your job is to educate yourself on how best to avoid them. I used to be apart of NFA a few years back, and the best tactic is to 1) Swap to another channel if possible as soon as you arrive, 2) Avoid the well known spots for grinding during the event for all channels(the competition and the griefers know these places well), 3) Get a thick skin and brush off pks and just move spots if you're committed to grinding to level cap.
Other than that, I think you should be on your own to deal with the natural flow of a PvP server. I used to love the competition on them myself, but I'm so casual anymore, I would get wrecked outside of any situation where gear actually comes into play. So if you want to come do CS with me on CH, that's fine, we're all equal here. However, on PvP realms...that, sir, is the wild west. And I would like for them to stay that way for people who still play this game competitively.
TL;DR- SpaceCats is not the Waaambulance driver coming to save you. Migrate, educate, or die at the hand of the sweaty neckbeards who prey on your ignorance and tears.
Honestly, I wish there was a penalty for ganking lowbies, but if it applies to like level people, then I am very much against it.
But it can't be too crazy severe for the odd kill here or there. Sometime a low level person just plain deserves to get killed. And sometimes one may get accidentally killed for getting too close to your fight, or stupidly trying to join in.
The best way to grief someone is to pull a low level alt along with no armor and purposefully harass others into pking. With our current system, grieving only last for brief while, but with their system it can last for weeks or more.
