Gunner chained skill problem.
I've been having some problems with my gunner auto chaining skills like when I RR it automatically does SS and just drains my mana to nothing, not to mention screws up my dodging when I need to Rocket Jump.
Now I've seen that it is hard-coded in where you just can't change it anymore, and I was wondering if there was anything I could do about it, as it is the only character that I'm having this problem with. It wasn't that bad at the beginning but I had a perfect untouched Ace dungeon run going when this happened so now I wanted to know how I could stop this or at least prevent it from happening so much in the future.
Thanks in advance.

I haven't tried this myself but if it is what I think, it should disable all your "inherent chains"
Gunner has forced chains off just about every ability. Gunner also has their forced chains being broken, with them popping up for say Bombardment (even when you're at 0 WP) for no reason.
Some other classes have this "inherent chains" thing too. Haven't logged in game in awhile to test, but I WOULD like to remove this stuff from some of my characters. Like in warrior, there's a skill with an inherent chain into scythe(forgot which atm). Sometimes it pops up and I end up wasting a scythe on something that had only half edge, even though most of what I do on warrior is manual save blade draw.
Gunner doesn't has many skills to use.
The most stupid combo is Arc Bomb after scatter and IT'S BUILDED IN, no way you can take /change it.
is it just to show how "skilled" you are if you say you don't use sapcebar? I never really understood the negativity around it.
can you send a razer naga to OP as a gift then?
Topic:
Ye dude that chain is annoying but i'm afraid that its permanent,we can't change this, you just need remember to do not touch your "spacebar" button secs after rolling.
There is a stigma around using spacebar because the default chain skills are not optimal. Also, using the spacebar to chain is slower than actually clicking each skill manually. Lastly, when Reaper was created there were so many people who just spammed spacebar/jumped randomly and did bad DPS.
In conclusion: It's ok to use the actual spacebar but, if you want to play your class well and contribute more to parties, you will not use spacebar to chain your skills.
I agree with this. On my gunner once in a while I get this bombardment showing up even when my will is at 0. Usually it might happen if I'm just logging in after switching a character or very rarely it may happen in a battle. Very annoying if it does happen in a battle. I disabled all my chains on gunner but there's always those hidden chains that don't go away x.x
On my gunner I have spacebar as my chained key but I rarely use spacebar unless it's to detonate my AB or something. The rest of the skills are mostly manual on whatever I have hot-keyed to.
I noticed lately when I dps on my gunner for dungeons, I been out dps'ing some other gunners who are in either starfall +15 or Imperator +15 and I'm only in +12 slaughter. Even though I have spacebar as my key, I still know what I'm doing rotations wise. I think it's the fact I've had spacebar for 2 years as hot key and switching to another button like "x" or some other letter, didn't work for me since it was a hard adjustment. I just changed my jump key to x in case I need to jump at some bosses for getting rid of poison or something.
As stated, the problem with chain rotations is not their existence, but that many of the default "suggested" chains are sub optimal. Having 16 characters, I can't learn them all fully, so I set what I use the most to manual, and the rest goes into chains I prepare myself. Currently I read guides for the classes and prepare my rotation based on both the guide and my activity with the character. An example, if I do dungeons as as sorcerer, I can try using Yosha's rotations, but in the case of IoD, some skills won't even land by using that rotation (unless somehow I become Yosha himself), so I edit here and there, going mostly manual but tossing a few skills into a custom chain.
Thing is, chain skills can be useful for certain things, but they are not the solution to everything. All this in my opinion.
