What Class to Play
I have played a bit of TERA so far and have a level 30 Elin Ninja and Slayer, Ninja being my first character and wondering with both PvE and PvP in mind what is a solid DPS choice?
No, I'm not asking for the meta that facerolls everything but something that can hold its own against others and have some fun.
After playing Ninja, it feels a bit too easy/OP right now, due to high damage, the slinkiness and absolute mass stunlock. Slayer just felt severely lacking due to low DPS (so far) and very slow swings with very little mobility, despite its description.
So am I misjudging Slayer and does it get better? Is it okay in PvP or absolute trash? Is Ninja really easy/OP or is that just early game? Any feedback would be appreciated, just not looking for any "have fun with any class" responses, I have fun with Ninja but when I PvP my friends I feel like I'm at an unfair advantage.

And Ninja is known to be overpowered and rebalances are coming within the next patches. All the new classes are made easier thanks to Nexon KR so if you want to blame anything blame them for making Ninja ezmode.
Sorcerer is the ultimate skill-dependent class. The rework will make it more flashy for PvE, and celerity being a passive will change quite a bit of PvP dynamics. However, what sets aside Sorcerer from many other classes is that it has one of the highest potential in PvP, but also one of the easiest to die fast if not played properly. It is recently buffed for PvE too so you will feel you do decent damage in PvE.
Archer is buffed massively for mass pvp. Invisible traps can change games. Also buffed in late game for PvE crit like sorcerer allowing them to do more consistent damage endgame. Also still has the GG combo for 1v1s iirc if you position yourself right.
Reaper is and always will be the goddess of PvP. You cant really nerf Reaper's kit without reworking it. And damage isn't even the problem tbh.
Lastly, Gunner is your typical cannon master. Can't really faceroll now due to nerfs but annoying enough in 1v1s. Gunners have always been good in PvE so nothing can be said about it.
A couple of personal suggestions for other classes to play: Archer and Sorcerer. Both have a rather unique style - Archer in pvp, and Sorcerer in pve. That said, neither is particularly OP. Sorcerer definitely has it easier than other classes in large-scale pvp, but it has a lot of skill attached to it in pve, and ever since Nerve Exhaustion got nerfed, it can feel tricky in duels as well. In terms of usefulness, it can easily hold its own in pvp due to Fireblast, but takes being careful about enemies singling it out; in pve, if you have the skill, ping and gear, it can put up a fight against most other classes (ignoring reaper and ninja) - and due to its particular skill-set, may fall behind on certain, more mobile bosses, yet easily outpace others on other, mechanic-based bosses. Archer meanwhile is similarly valued in pvp due to Rain of Arrows in particular, and its now-invisible traps. In pve it offers an endurance debuff which can be incredibly valuable depending on your team, as well as potential for considerable damage output of its own if you master its priority-based skill use, and especially if you have the ping to cast Rapid Fire.
Warrior is also a class I enjoy and respect, but I left it out here because it is considerably advantaged in pvp (though it takes skill to play it to that capacity).
