When is the cut-off time for Crusade Contribution for new Guild members?

The Crusade rules state that "characters who join a guild mid-season will not contribute to the guild's score."

What qualifies as "mid-season"? Is it the moment the guild leader selects the Crusade for participation? After the first day? The first week? Second week?

I want to clarify this once and for all. Please do not speculate.

    Doesn't matter when they join. As long as its their scoring character, meaning the highest ranked one, it will count towards crusade rewards. This has been proven.
