  • After this we clearly see an improvement on sorcer's dps (almost surpassing a ninja which I guess is in ST +15 too). Therefore people can stop complaining about nerf on BoC by now.

We already knew it would be a buff, not a nerf. What sorc mains are complaining about is BHS dumbing down the class to become a generic FoTM class that anyone can pick up in a day. Sorc mains who stuck with the class despite the release of easier and stronger classes do not get rewarded at all from this change. Not only does it render all of our efforts worthless, but it also changes the class from a playstyle we love to one that we were trying to avoid. Besides, a good sorc already does good dps in this patch, so buffing classes to match ninja instead of nerfing ninja only makes the game easier and more boring.
  • tera is becoming basicaly a mobile game. at least its still kinda fun, i miss the old days of lancer as only main tank, when brawler came everything started to become easy and easy

Every game gets its gameplay improved over the years, if you call this as make it easier you should try out gameplay a new game. I think there's a lot of drama among the NA players about this update (and very precipitated because it hasn't been released here yet) since every guy in KR server is updating video with good perspective about this change. Tera has one of the most complex combat system and this action mode is very entertainer, but other things need to change or the game will not survive that long.
  • Dunno how sorc mains feel about the new sorc. I guess the class is ruined for some, other might find fun is the perma celerity state and huge damage buff.

Even though what we see here is some ridiculous damage output the likes of which the game has never seen before, I can't help but think it's a step in the right direction for the class. Maximizing DPS has only ever been "challenging" because revolving a rotation around a limited duration buff is fundamentally unsophisticated and honestly I hope they make similar changes to berserker. It really shouldn't matter who's capable of picking up the class and it shouldn't have to feel rewarding just because you stuck with the class when it was harder to play. The change was a smart choice and the only real difference between the way the class plays now and our current patch is that you don't have to cast Burst of Celerity and Overchannel and now you have the luxury of using your most powerful skills off cooldown instead of only during BoC. I think when the changes hit our server you'll all find it much more enjoyable as boss mechanics will become less intrusive when it comes to going the extra mile to deal your best damage possible.

Not really sure where this attitude is coming from, I've mained a sorc, slayer, gunner on my old account (since TERA was in sub), the game has been changing and I think it's smart to bring the legacy classes more in line with the change. The class isn't "dumbed" down it's become less redundant than before.

    Time to get over yourself.
  • As a sorc with more than 4 years of experience I think that DMG buff is nice, but overall this class will lose its spirit. On gameplay it look like Ill be bored to death after 2 min in dungeon. Idk how its gonna affect the pvp but presing 4 buttons all over again doesnt seems like fun to me.
