    These forums, they didn't create themselves -- they run on third-party software on hosted servers, so it may be tricky to implement that sort of hook. But aside that, it's a bit risky since it could be abused if people figure that out. (And, sometimes, thread titles aren't too clear either, and it could also just be someone's local issue in some cases.) But anyway, it's an idea.

    I think EME employees receiving a few false-positives is a fairly unimportant downside considering they'll likely always receive real-positives whenever a server freezes, instead of being clueless for five hours.

    Yeah, that's fair. It is a possible way. Ideally, it would better if they could find a way to actually test for this sort of situation properly on the servers themselves and build it into their existing notification systems, but who knows...

    This is legit depressing. Can't we get a notice before it shuts down like 5 minutes before hand? or are they not paying attention to their computers? *said this outta exhaustion of the servers lately.
    I mean servers going down lately with no reason is really bad, specially if you're In a dungeon. :/
