Smh leveling topics lmao

Na, that's literally it, that title looool. So many a-holes in 1-64, "make it harder", "make it easier"--mm, w/e. Personally the learning curve once they hit 65 is what most of them deserve. You wanna be a [filtered] and pretend like you can all-out dps something no dodging, space bar hero? By all means, I've seen a whole group teach one person a lesson. Shut up and listen, go read, go ask for help. There's literally so many resources out here--and don't complain about having to look stuff up, I mean you chose to play Tera lol

You used to learn nearly every single basic sense of dodging blocking and backcritting etc before 65 without even a real need to read. Tbh it is not fully about making it harder, but making the process of levelling and doing dungeons long ENOUGH for players to get used to it. It used to be too long even for a freshie, and now it is too short. Difficulty can be ramped up, but the biggest problem is not letting bosses hit faster (most bosses hit slower now from what I see, maybe it is just because I am conditioned to react faster) and harder, as well as having a slightly higher hp pool so people need to dodge more.

While the "learn something from others before doing it" mentality bothered me at first, since gaming was about exploration and learning from mistakes, I see more and more that this mentality fits MMOs for the whole aspect of not ruining someone else's run. Sure. This won't change the mentality of those who simply don't care about anyone but themselves, nor of those who want to be carried through everything (and then claim they are where they are because of their 'leet skillz'), but if some people out there can change their gaming habits for the benefit of those around them, and well, embrace this mentality and actually learn before doing any end game, then everyone will have smoother runs.

I say it this way because it's not just about learning the character being played, but about the end game dungeons themselves. While knowing your character is always good and must never be skipped, it's better to also understand the dungeon/BG being attempted.
  • this is one reason why i solo .90% of the time you get one of two players in pugs:
1.the player that thinks that a class should be played the way they play it. and if its not, then somehow that makes them think they have the right to be rude in group chat. its elitist behavior. its "you should play this the way i do , or you're garbage" mentality that makes pugs terrible now. the op seems like this kind of player
    2. the player thats playing an mmo like a single player game (the kind of player the op is complaining about)
the other 10% is great ppl but isnt worth wading thru the 90% to get to . sad state of affairs
