RIP world boss hunting, at least I can say I did it the hard, tedious and, most of all, stupid way of hunting for months. It was sort of fun in a way I guess.

Thank you, I am way excited to do boss hunting and Celestial arena now :D
  • I dont understand why they remove the easy dungeons  -1:
    Wonderholme
    Abscess (nm)
    Kalivan’s Dreadnaught (hm),
    Forsaken Island (nm),
    Timescape (nm)

People new to the game and ppl without good gear did those dungeons and learn better their characters and practice in those dungeons and i also dont get why they bring back that trash dungeon "Sky Cruiser Endeavor"...I never like that dungeon and i had also a lot of lag in it,
What is the point of keep remove and bring back same dungeons? This is crazy !
And this" Added healing rerollable lines" is good for healers but bad for our gold because semi are not cheap and to get a good roll you need to spend a lot of them. Maybe we can get it easier in game later.

even if they left the numbers alone, they also moved the wb achieves to legacy, so they wouldn't count anyway.

those new "middle" dungeons will get nerfed to the current kdhm tsnm and finm levels. kdhm and finm were nerfed pretty bad in ninja patch anyway. and about schm, thats ur opinion. plenty of people liked schm.
  • Why remove Wonderholme? All other dungeons lasted several patches, it's too soon to remove wh :(

I wonder why they'd remove any content at all. Some devs spent countless hours creating those dungeons, just so they can be featured for a "limited time", then taken away, then reskinned and reintroduced later. Meanwhile, players are complaining about not enough variety of content.

Um... am I the only person who sees this as a stupid problem with a stupidly easy solution?

But hurr durr. Don't mind me, I'm just a simple stupid pleb.

Erasing achivement 100 bosses is like spitting in face to all who grinded for months! Erasing it for what? Cause some people want laurel faster? You dont need to kill 100 bosses to get the champion laurel! Add new achivements all you want, but leave this alone.. it's like, hey, you've worked so hard for months, lets pretend it never happened o-O

The way I understand it, it seems they either cannot keep all the dungeons running at the same time. OR, they can but they still want to do this cycling to not make any one dungeon way too boring. Unlike level up dungeons that are run only while leveling up, then forgotten, end game dungeons are meant to be run many times. Some people would think that having each and every dungeon ever made always available will bring more variety, but rule of attention says that such a thing will bore users who will be claiming for new content sooner. Content that as you said, takes a lot of time, resources, and money. Again, let's remind that BHS is not as big as Blizzard and can't pull content as big nor as fast. Plus some of the original Tera team also left.

The dungeons arent removed, just the portal entrance.
Eg. Sigil Adstringo files are still in game.

Regarding WB: If you think NA is hard to get imagine KTERA, where they have just 2 servers with a higher population than ours.

I wonder if the next achv to be butchered will be FWC 500 wins

You get 100 named in one or two days. At least complain for the 5k one. And they are moving the 1k and 5k only, the 100 one will stay as it is now.

    Isnt the 100kills named bosses
They are changing ruler of arun and ruler of shara, where you need kill 100 of each world boss, and this one you cant complete in 1 day.

Yeah, sure, but doesn't that argument just further support my premise? Old dungeons have already been created. Doesn't require any extra dev time. Maybe extra server costs... but look, they're already spending money to support dead servers and mostly dead leveling dungeons (not to mention "private instances" every time someone enters Ghillieglade, Celestial Arena, or any other solo-ish instance). I know they aren't Blizzard, which is why I'm trying to offer cheaper alternatives to creating new content all the time. Just bring back old stuff that has already been created, update the mechanics, boss hp and loot tables etc. to make them still relevant, and people will run them...? You say that would be boring, but how is offering say 5 dungeons less boring than offering 10? There are probably quite a few new players who never got the chance to try some of the older dungeons, so they would be "new" to them. Plus it would be "nostalgic" for the veterans who might miss some of the older dungeons. Either way... offering the option to run ALL the TERA dungeons at endgame seems to be less stale and boring than the current system of only offering a few at a time and cycling through them one patch to the next.

I know I'm probably oversimplifying things; I tend to do that, because I believe that most problems in life can be solved with simple solutions, if only people would stop overcomplicating everything. Call it Occam's Razor. Or KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid). More dungeons = more content. More content = better. Right? Or am I wrong? Do people really prefer being stuck inside a little box with few or no other options? Would you rather run the same 2 dungeons 10 times a day or 10 different dungeons 2 times a day? Maybe some people prefer the former because it's more comfortable that way. Get yourself in a nice comfortable little rut, do the same thing every day. But then you have all these other people complaining that there's not enough stuff to do. How to please everyone? To me, the simple answer is, "offer more options". That way the people who want to do A and B all day can still do A and B all day, while the people who want to do C, D and E get to do those as well. Seems like a logical solution to me...?

Maybe I'm just biased, though. I am after all a fierce proponent of choice, free will and sandboxy-type stuffs. I know not everyone is into that. Some people like being told what to do and when to do it.
  • I don't mind that much about retired dungeons and i understand the possible reasons for them to do so, as long as we have options like in this patch. When gunner was released, we could only run like 2 dungeons for day, things got better at least. But the fact that almost every dungeons looks the same doesn't help at all, they are all too gloomy. We don't have places like Wonderholme since Rift Edge. I won't even mention recycled bosses, but at least give some unique feeling for the dungeons. Rip wh :(
