Archer DPS?

After the buff, how good is archer DPS? I know they used to be around sorc tier DPS (which is bottom) in PvE, how are they now after the crit buff?

Did it make a large difference?

Also, I like how archer traps are now invisible to enemies in PvP *-*

    Archer dps is imo the best of the original classes, but reaper (if you know how to play it), gunner, brawler, and ninja have much more dps

    Very good, all classes are pretty close outside of ninja. Archer also brings a debuff which makes it even better.

    I wouldn't say all classes...
    Even the best pve warrior would fall behind any class in dps, even mystic rivals their dps from the recent changes.

    the way I see it is there are 3 tiers
    tier 1: ninja and brawler
    tier 2: reaper, gunner, archer, slayer, lancer, zerk
    tier 3: sorc, warrior, mystic, priest

    ok but give any other class that slaying crux and their doing a lot more, I main warrior and the dps is barely noticeable unless you use slaying but then if you're on a dead server like me and have to q everything the healers wont let you use that

    It wasn't a slaying run. Slaying war can do up to 2.5M DPS. Afaik, even a gunner can't do more (unless you take a stupid 30s Verno fight), and slaying with reaper is tricky in long fights. It's out of reach of most original classes. Anyway, warrior is far from weak, they are actually welcome because they bring good DPS and a debuff.

    Warrior is not the weakest DPS at all, they actually do a lot now. Don't need slaying to shine over other classes not using slaying.

    Archers are insane right now and I'd place a skilled low ping archer right behind ninja easily.

    Slaying affects every class the same, pretty much. Warrior DPS is very, very solid and just because you main warrior doesn't mean you're a very good warrior.

    All the old classes are pretty close, I'd even gamble to say if the new classes didn't exist this game would be relatively balanced. (from a pve standpoint, I don't have the knowledge to comment on pvp balance)

    Even then if you add reaper and gunner it's still pretty close, unless you come across someone that's really good with reaper or gunner, but that can be said about all the classes.

    As a zerk I've outdps'd ninjas and brawlers, but at the same time been outdps'd by sorcs and archers. Your dps is directly tied to the amount of effort you put into the game.

    Slaying benefits Slayers way more than any other class, since it's aptly named. At low hp they gain access to another skill (Fury Strike) that's close to as strong as their strongest skill (Measured Slice). If incorporated well into their rotations, it can be another 20-30% boost on top of the Slaying crystal effect.

    Deeps tier for non-slaying runs is something like
    Ninja
    Brawler
    Reaper, Gunner, Archer, Warrior
    Berserker, Sorcerer, Slayer

    Since OP only asked about archer, I'll answer only about archer. The dps is very good now. You still need to know what to use and when to use it, but the dps is good indeed. I haven't played my archer enough and I won't claim to even be good at it but at least of the runs I've done I have out dps-ed and been out-dpsed by both classes seen OP and classes seen as weak. So I'd say the dps is pretty good. It's also fun and you bring utility with your debuff. Only bad thing is the velik mark thing which still can be used by only one archer at a time.

    Where do you see Mystic rivaling Warrior? Not even in SSHM where Mystics go dps do they come anywhere close to Warrior.
