This way of thinking is priceless...
First off: some or maybe most of all the players in the low populated servers are probably there because it was "recommended".
Second: Like I said on my previous post, people chose their server for a reason, pvp or pve wise.
Third: would you like to be forced to buy something you weren't suppose to buy even if you can afford it or not?
Finally: what do you care if the person wants to play a lot of game? really?
no
it is what vot and lot asked since long time and i remeber they asked to be merged without highwatch
highwatch asked for free transfert
sorry but when i sign to join pve server it is because i dont want to do the crap you suggest to avoid pvp
Do what, literally everything you've been doing already?
This is not a "trust" or "breaking promises" issue. The whole reason for this thread is to get feedback. If, after considering all the feedback, the decision is made to follow this course, it won't be because they're "breaking their promise" or "lying". Even if a compromise is offered, no matter what they do, they will not please everyone. No matter what they do -- merge the servers, wipe names, whatever -- you could argue that's "breaking the agreement". Some people will be inconvenienced for sure. But there's still a compelling reason to make a change.
The reason to get HW involved in this whole thing in the first place is because some HW players complained that there isn't a good end-game community on that server. This would be a way of bolstering that community, provided you can get the VoT and LoT players to stay and be part of the merged community. Neither TR, AV, nor CH need to be merged with HW, and if you get them involved in this scheme, they are all going to have to go through the name collision problem. And you don't want the remaining VoT and LoT players to all abandon ship to MT.
As I said before, I think having the option for HW players to transfer off to another PvE server (not TR) is okay, but if all the problems are going to be solved (at least to the extent we can try to solve them...), everyone's got to think about the big picture and what's best for the long-term of their server community. That means something has to change. If not this, then something else...
This isn't an issue about the "principle" of changing PvE to PvP65, but coming up with some sort of compromise that tries to address the concerns of each of the three server communities.
i love gathering and visit tera and something kill monsters for fun in the place i want and the channel i want and loli want to have the right to gathering without the fear to be killed by a player, so it is why we join tempest reach
if i want to be in mudkip video i could go to mount tyranna
This is the official position of the company?
I'm shocked. I, as a player in general are not interested in the problems of other servers.
Why do we not offered to pay? OK. 2xElite. Legally (I'm not a lawyer) maybe it's not cheating, but in fact it is cheating players who have chosen a particular server.
The only reason HW is involved in this whole thing at all is because a portion of the community said very clearly that HW has a problem. Of course, not everyone agreed that it had a problem (even EME said that overall population on HW is fine), so if you don't think there's a problem, then I suppose there's no reason to "compromise" in search of a solution. But that's the reason why the compromise was sought in the first place: to try to use this as an opportunity to bolster a new combined end-game community, and to create a unique server that won't just end up as another "also ran."
else merge hightwatch with us
No PvPers are going to hunt you down, if you are doing achievements.
There are multiple channels for a reason. You aren't being targeted, you are just being self-centered and bubbled.
Ya'll need to realize than we choose pve server because we dont want change channel and than we want to run or walk to our favorite dungeon or even be afk there in front the portal
If you could revamp the LFG system a little, to include Name and Server, and add an Inspect and maybe a Whisper option. So that you could inspect the gear of and communicate with that person who applied to your LFG, even if they are on another server.
If this is possible, then the next step would to go ahead an apply it to all the servers.
The only complications I can imagine at the moment, are the /Inspect, /Look, and /Whisper commands, which currently only applies to names on your home server. Making cross-server versions of "Inspect" and "Whisper" that trigger upon LFG party application could be a solution, kinda like....
Commands like /Invite and /Join could stay as same-server-only if you want simplicity. But other ideas to make cross-server that come to mind are the private chats that players can create with passwords.
Of course all of this is moot, though, if your goal was to populate the Open World.
Dude, "afk outside of portal". All of those are safezones.
It does... I made an alt on MT just to try it out. (I am a PVE player on HW)...And players kill me while questing on low level and i hated it (Level 58 vs level 11). So this really wouldn't work for players who really prefer PVE and staying away from PVP stuffs.... BTW PVE players doesn't mean we don't like PVP..it's just not our advantage...My friends usually have ping issues and dying on PVP related stuffs which is really isn't favorable. Some PVP players tend to trash talk without knowing the suffering a bad-ping player who stay away from pvp fights.
