Class Balancing
Hello
If it is possible would CM please respond on what were the basis of nerfing for example Sorcerer and few other classes, on release of other new classes that will obviously be more powerfull than old ones anyway.
If you have a very squishy cloth class - Sorcerer -glass cannon - and you remove a big chunk of its damage , you remain only with the "glass" , that almost no one wants to play, is that the goal? To push all players towards new classes forcefully?
Becouse as i can understand you release new classes stronger by 30++% and than balance them out when you determine how much of a nerf they require.
What i do not understand at all, is why does it take months upon months to nerf obviously brokenly imbalanced class like brawler.
Brawler in particular, class with almost highest damage in the game, which is a tank as well, can heal itself, and can negate all crowd control skills, on top of that it has combos most other classes cant avoid, and in raids its so overpowered that 1 player playing brawler can dissarray entire enemy raid.
So.
Why are all of these balance issues still pleaguing Tera?
It is my and majority of players wish to have competetive gameplay without the feeling of injustice done to us and our classes.
Why you push everyone towards new classes forcefully is shady and it would be nice if someone would clear things out please.
I can understand it is new "Content" and even though most of us expected real content, in a creative manner, new classes arent that bad too, but pushing players into buying lvl 60 scrolls/equipment/enchants/costumes ,simply becouse their DPS class isnt valuable anymore, objectively seems very fishy and wrong.
Thank you for reading

Just dont consider us shallow if we are gamers, we are players ,we are people also.
It's sad but that´s the way it is, just class balance would potentially make this game a cult icon, you don´t even need new content. I do't buy it Korean players are such brainless lemmings that what we get is a result of how they game... Pity, really, but hey, where else are you going to get HK stuff for your char?
Seen similar thing with Archeage, only i think reversed. There Trion the publisher destroyed balancing.
Here developer has its say as well.
We can only hope EME sees reason and urgency of this. Its leaking them many players towards other titles.
How you can change it? You can't, there is no way to change BHS managers/bosses mind. I'm a developer and was participated in few projects which do not exists anymore, because of wrong decisions. Like try to tell to your boss that things are broken, and it have to be fixed otherwise it will fall down. Like security holes or performance things. They will not believe you, even if they did pay you to do things that they don't understand. Then something will went wrong, things [filtered] up, and the person to blame, it's you, not the boss or manager which don't let you fix it. It's you, cause you was responsible for it. And this is what is going on in most IT companies, stupid bosses and managers which are not technical enough to understand project on which they are working on.
Like why BHS don't hire more developers, to split them to 2 teams, one responsible for new content, second for fixing stuff ? Cause it's "business things" and they will try to earn as much as they can with as little effort as they are doing now. Some companies did get that after some failures, like EA did with battlefield 4, they did rush developers, developers did say its too early, its broken, its need to be fixed. What did EA do ? They did release broken game. On the beginning investors or stockholders didn't care about broken bf4, they did care about money only. But when sales went down, they finally did get it, that ppl will not buy broken games, and they did lawsuit EA for this. EA did finally fix the BF4, it took long time for them, but they finally did get it, that you [filtered] can't sell broken product. Now they are doing CTE tests for every battlefield game, which results in great start of BFH or battlefront. They finally did learn that things have to be fixed, and if community say so, you have at least listen to them, cause they are paying you for what are you doing.
Playing this game (with breaks) from the closed beta, this is 5th year of hearing "we are working on it", "soon", "i will get back to you with an answer, whatever it may be". If you waiting for changes, then give up, just check KTera changes, what they did last time, and you will get it that they don't know what they are doing anymore.
You meant 100%+. But wait for ninja. You will see the new meaning of "flavor of the update class" or "lack of basic common sense".
Honestly, I have been ranting for a while now, how brawler is SO overpowered, that they had to decrease their damage by 20%, plus more nerfs, and they are STILL at the top of the food chain.
A nerf of that magnitude is simply unheard of in a MMO. That means that there was a HUGE breakdown in development.
It does look like they are finally putting more effort into class balancing, though. But if they keep releasing broken classes, it's like bailing water out of a leaky boat, with a bucket. You should fix the hole first!
Like, whos brilliant idea was it, to make a class with the best tankiness, the best DPS, a self heal, and the best CC in the game? How does this stuff even pass QC? It shouldn't have even made it past a piece of paper on a desk, let alone made it into development and into the game!! If that nonsense came across my desk, I'd laugh and make fun of whoever thought that was a good idea, and crumple it up and throw it in the garbage.
As was said earlier - We don't need new classes to make Tera a better game. We don't need new things - we just need the old things improved. Then you will have a strong player base, with little attrition. You know.....fix the gaping HOLE in the boat, instead of trying to use buckets to keep afloat!
You can see people returning to try out that new OP class, it is a reason to reroll, it is a reason to gear up and so on. Then people get bored and wanna play the old class they used to like before newclass#1 and complain how OP it is, it gets nerfed and and the balance is a little better for a while. Do I think it's a good approach? Not from a gamer's point of view but... they gotta make money somehow?
