you know what it is without important if we can adapt or not, what is important it is how many will stay in your new server, so we will see if this problem will back to your new server in 6 months
just remember this, leave highwatch alone, the problem in your server are not ours, live in your server we dont need you
Main Played Chara: Aileah.Shev
As a developer for my own games and a beta tester of others', I love pushing a game to its absolute limits in every area I can. This being said, I know that certain aspects need limitations. PvP is one of these limitations. Now, merging all three servers is a nice idea, as it will boost the weak population and economy they suffer individually. However, as you said, introducing PvP into a non-PvP community can be problematic. I tend to enjoy Alliance conflict and other PvP activities, but only because I know what I'm getting into when I go to those areas. Yet, there is still quite a range of difference in power even among level 65 charas, through gear sets. For mainly this reason, many players in my guild and elsewhere throughout the Highwatch server prefer to avoid PvP altogether, despite being max level.
I have been playing TERA since we had to get skills from NPC's and I have ample experience across each server in most situations. So, my solution would be to designate separate, already existing (to reduce code work), channels for PvP. This will make things easier for players and community managers that regularly hold events (Spacecats, mostly xP), due to the selective nature of channels. The events/PvP wont be lagged down and crash-prone by the multitude of casual or otherwise non-participating players, and will allow everyone to enjoy what they want to do in-game without delay or distraction. The population will be increased, but spread across the channels in a more balanced way to reduce both lag and grief.
P.S. I would love the opportunity to bounce around the test server and try to break the game in many ways to help get those things fixed before public release. I'm fond of experiments and exploits and can play in any language. I'll also be applying to the EME Producer (Publishing/Game Service) position soon, so even though I may or may not be working on TERA, I will definitely continue to input my opinions and ideas here. ^~^
well we dont want to sink with you, if the future of highwatch is the merge i prefer a pve server than your server
now i dont care about your server, do what do you want with your server, but we dont want to be stuck with you when you sink
I'd rather have LoT and VoT than AV. AV has made it clear in the past they do not want us.
anyway good luck with your new server, just pray to not fall with the same problem in 6 months
so why people who are against free transfert are from your server? why you dont want us to quit to better place instead to be stuck with you ?
i never said we will survive, but we dont feel than our future is better with you
I liked so much of idea, and for me this will work very well (Player of LT).
but in the first 10 pages i read many players asked to be merged with pve server or free server, so they are without importance for you ?
do you will ignore them ?
we dont have to pay for enmasse mistake, it is not our fault if we are in this [filtered], blame enmasse not us
so you want our land, fine, so give us the ticket to quit this land, you can enjoy your new server with people who will stay with you, other have not be forced to live with you
I know some of you do not give a [filtered], if TERA die today you will just jump to another game just like how you hop over to the healthier server.
I try my best avoid bashing pve or pvp play style & draw the line deeper, because this is a game, a choice of entertainment, which we choose, invest, dedicate and spend on it.
This new merger plan is asking for a crossfire between the players of each server, but it also introduce a new opportunity of creating a server which new pvp player will choose it over MT and new pve player will choose it over TR.
Like I said before EME just need to consider the player who initially choose TERA for pure PVE/PVP experience. Give them an option to opt out or worst case, a compensation for all the time and money of each individual given. If the fear of player will massive migrate to MT/TR, like most people my blunt suggestion is the merger between LoT - VoT and AV - HW.
LoT & VoT will act as the pioneer of the new hybrid server, and server transfer from any server to the new server will be free.
At last I understand EME has the right to implement any changes for the greater good. However, keeping the damage minimal worth every effort.
so if i understand you if we are not agree with you we cant talk ? well maybe later enmasse will change their mind and made the new server a pve server can be funny to see thekor reaction
it is what i said if we disagree with thekor our opinion is not matter, can be fun to see his reaction if his server turn to be pve
TFW LoT has higher SSHM scores than HW
