Suggestion 1).
How about we make only three big servers, say one PVP server with no option to choose fighting another player when out in the lands of leveling, and mobs. Along with this unoptional pvp server, you would get the chance to loot the character you have managed to kill and you could only take things that they aren't already wearing, so good luck to those people! One PVP server optional where you can fight in the land of mods but only if they choose to do so, and some could make it an automatic yes in their settings and others an automatic no, this optional PVP would be the best of both worlds for PVE payers as well. And then you have your PVE server where everyone doesn't want to kill anyone but just duel for the achievements and have a marry time.
Each server could have individual channels of 5 anywhere and everywhere INCLUDING in major cities... thus saving lag time (hopefully) and giving more space for the wide community that is Tera...
Suggestion 2).
Money system is completely whack... Here's just a thought on how to fix it. Now hear me out this could be a pretty solid plan... We cap the money bag... too maybe I don't know... 100k gold. We no longer have trade broker as an optional naming price, because lets face it, prices for costumes in the game given by actual gamer's is outrageous and the prices just go up and up. The only way the prices fall is if a big event (like Mongo's for example) give good accessory drops that are still yet again too high in prices. Trade broker can be sold by player to player, listing costumes at least to 40k gold or higher, leaving enough money to spare to buy more than one item if you so choose to use the money cap. The only way the money bag can be expanded is if you pay actual money to expand it through the Tera store, and even then it should just be expanded 50k gold per purchase. Seems fair to me. Especially since all of a sudden the vanguard quests has gone down in prices.
Suggestion 3).
Continuing on with the idea of having Legendary Mongos drop costumes... But this time instead of Mongos we work that into individual rare world bosses. Each server gets it's own individual special dungeon. One that has a legendary boss that only spawns within 1 day and a half or so that INFACT drops a box that lets you choose the costume you want for free! The only way to get this box is if you fight the world boss and if he drops it, and the drop has got to be pretty rare for that to happen. The box can not be sold on trade broker or anything else so when you pick it up, you better love that thing to death!
Suggestion 4).
Okay what is up with the specific classes only being for girls and not guys as well, and specified by race?! Like common we should do it something like this, one section of classes is any gender optional, another set male gender only, and the last set female gender only... that would take some time to craft but it would be well worth it! I mean common who doesn't want to see an Elin with giant fists bigger than their entire body! Or even a Popori with a gun, that would a be a scary cute sight. All I'm saying is that it would be nice to show gender lovin', instead of just race lovin' as well.
Win Win on everything and anything... these are just some suggestions that yes I understand will not happen immediately, but it would be nice to get a response from the Tera gods them selves on how they feel about these ideas. Lots of Love to all the Tera Fans who don't want to see this game go up in flames... (even though it's getting there)...

Yup. The issue in this thread hasn't really changed this whole time, no matter how many pages it goes on. Group A is so opposed to being on a PvP server on principle, and they will never, ever compromise this one point. Group B doesn't understand why Group A is making such a big deal about it. And it can all basically be solved by extending one olive branch that has already been suggested. The best thing for the whole thread would be to just stop and wait for a decision on this -- not that I expect it to happen. lol
The issue with all of your suggestions is that they really won't save any budget because they all involve some significant programming time. The cost of hosting the servers isn't really the big issue once they're set up and working. The merits of each suggestion could be discussed separately, but this probably isn't the best thread. (The last suggestion in particular isn't going to happen; that ship sailed long ago.)
Aside that, I don't think there's likely to be much new lag introduced by the proposed merger. The only lag might be in cities where people congregate, but that's mostly a sign of a high population, so not necessarily something to fear.
it is not only on principle but i am sure than if the new server is pve, we can see so many QQ from pvp player than their server turn into pve server, so the group A could be pvp player and be so opposed to being on a pve server
This point about forcing PvP people to a PvE server or vice-versa may be the most important thing to you, but it's not the most important issue from a long-term server health point of view. That's why I was hoping people would be more willing to look past their potential discomfort, but have still always supported offering a way out for those who just can't. For what it's worth, even though I'm not a big PVP player, I'll be keeping all my HW characters on the combined server when the merge happens.
well at least now i know which little surprise enmasse keep for us, now i know what may happen to tempest reach, it will be fun to see what will happen to this new server i feel a lot drama and laugh in 6 months
Dont try to argue with this guy..he has been talking some really non-sense stuff for ages now while making ppl go out of the thread's topic, even thekor gave up lol after some time ppl just start to ignore but then he comes with new non-sense stuff that make ppl go out of the topic again. Its pointless..i just dont know why he keeps saying the same stuff all the time and doing this.
No matter what you say, he will keep saying the same thing lol
Id say a good idea is to close this thread honestly, with a last message from a GM saying that the free server transfers can happen..i feel kinda bad for AV that they are getting that guy XD
Btw, update on my personal research:
Still didnt find any person who is against it 100%, those who have points against it also think its a good idea.
And after the first 5 ppl i started to ask only ppl that are in the Highwatch city, which means im getting mostly PvEers from it.
I dont even know how many i asked so far but really no one is totally against..maybe i should go look in IoD to see if i find ppl that are against lol
My main server is MT yet I have a Skycastle rank 5 or higher on each of these servers with 2-4 people alone not to mention the 3-4 other people that have solo castles as well. I sit there waiting for battle grounds to pop going around each server looking for entertainment (or signs of life for that matter...) as well as watching the economy. With 1million gold you can own each of these servers this is a slight exaggeration but how little it is, is in fact scary... The lack of active players in the world has lead to the poor economy which has been like this since before the new highwatch and free server transfers is making the servers suffer. EME should have made this merge happen over a year ago. There have been countless posts on it and its way past due for it to happen.
The 65 pvp only is a good way to balance the PvP/PvE server problem. Most new mmo players don't pay attention to pvp or pve server and end up on stuck on one of these servers, unable or unwilling to pay to switch leads to quitting the game. There's such a lack of population in all of these servers that the Pve players who usually stay in towns won't even go into open world, unless they intentionally want to go participate. The merge would provide this.
From recent months of observation there would be an active pvp community of around 100-300 or so players combined possibly, which isn't that large when you compare it to the thousands of players who would benefit from a larger casual/pve community. So people who enjoy both would be getting something out of a merge. Adding more players leads to better competition/easier dungeon runs which leads to an overall elevation player experience. There is a huge gap of player experience on these servers because they have nothing or no one to learn from unless they watch videos or stay in extremely small and difficult groups.
I'm just a Geartic what do I know
less of QQ than you about merge, at least i didnt spam merge my server or complaint how dead is my server on the forum
we can made the survey together i am sure i will get interesting answer
maybe we can check the old forum in lot or vot sub forum i wish to see if you post there, we can check the thread about how their server are dead and their beg about merge
