Smart things for new patch?

Just kinda wondering from you veteran players what i should do to prepare for the new patch. Since vm7(imp) will be easier to get it's most likely what im going to go for and +15 my 3 characters with. Mw Alk, spellbinds, SES etc.. Also i was wondering with them introducing vm8 does that mean the vm7 materials in the BC and KS shops be lowered so would it be smart to cap myself on those? My first patch i'll be rolling into already playing the game.

    Not a pro. Never will be, but I see trends and if it happens like it happened on this one, everyone will shoot for VM7 and VM8 will be whale and super hardcore territory only. Wonder if this was how BHS wanted their game to function...

    People with VM7 are unlikely to get VM8 unless they have too much time in their hands.

    Gold farmers will continue to farm gold. Casuals will just get lilith set and get out.

    Starfall will still be strong in PvP if you don't mind lower stats and want free stuns, sadly this is not general discussion. Conflate still BiS for PvP IMO although no more hammerstrike.

    This patch is slightly more stale on gear progression, hopefully the dungeons are more interesting.

    I'm just gonna stay with BoE gears. Less headache, less grindy but it comes with price. LFG +15 exp. the truth is hurts.

    Forever playing on less demanding dungeons.

    I am thinking about this problem too. This new patch just looks like a haste. I decided to farm gold and buy imp weapon when it will be more easy to obtain meanwhile trying to get sf gloves and chest. Now I fell myself pretty comfortable in full Slaughter +12 just don't go in DSH and SSHM.

    yeah i guess it really depends on what your willing to grind are Factory Cabinets and Imperator's Treasure worth buying and opening? Like what are the rates on them and which is better?

    As far as prep I'll do what I always do, buy sea chests when you see them low and have a [filtered] ton ready for the first day. Stock up on every possible thing you could need to enchant/roll/etc. Start praying to rngesus and try to make your etchings if you have the designs or make a friend with the designs. Once I hit what I feel is an acceptable amount I start saving gold up. I came into the vm7 patch with little under 4mil. If you're in a rush at that point you can gamble on the boxes for mats, regardless you'll have a pretty good headstart.

    Yeah that's more of a personal thing. It all depends on your rng, the price they are, and the price you're comfortable spending to buy in bulk.

    You could also just do a CS daily win every day (and/or FWC) to prepare for next patch if you don't want to buy them

    And on the topic of next patch....does any1 have an optomistically accurate ( or even rough..) ballpark of when the patch will drop? Currently putting together mats for starfall but i wonder will it be a waste if next patch is v soon....

    maybe there is a hint with how long the current crusade is? when is the current crusade over?

    Quick surmise. Starfall was made easier to get in the coming months leading to Imperator's release. This was a good step in the right direction, renewing people's interest in Fraywind (as it was the best method to obtain the materials) invigorating PvP again. This also helped players to gear alts or those returning, to quickly close the gap on gear requirements, allowing them to participate in SSHM and DSU. I personally liked it, although trying to sell your liberated Starfall for anything of value is a bummer..
