    Yeah this was pretty bad. They started making "barriers" too at one point.

    Oh, dear...the lag troll is back.

    This is just an example of people using skills to try and lock up low-performing systems, which makes the game non-responsive. This leads to increased latency, link deads, disconnects, CPU overload, overheating of the computer, and in extremely rare cases, exploding power supply*.

    The Arun's Vitae and Arun's Tear is one way of doing it. And if you think it's just Velika and Arun's Tear/Vitae, it's not. Just navigate to Bamarama when it starts and wait for the lag troll to show up. I'll give you a hint, he is usually reapers and gunners.



    *Yes, the exploding power supply happened to me once, albeit in a different game. I had to use the power supply from another computer, and now I can no longer use my CD drive on my computer.

    pft, you don't need the super happy funtimes cooldown to do this. all you need is perseverance, bored mystics, and a group of poor unsuspecting people in highwatch.

    that being said, i'm sad i missed the hyper cooldown thing. glad you all had fun. :pleased:

    Ehh, not like we had a choice. Apparently it was only enabled in DS Uppers, and disabled in every dungeon and battlegrounds.

    On the one hand the "only works in DSU" thing probably isn't EME's fault. BHS has a habit of breaking the most random things. On the other, EME could have tested it before committing to making it live to make sure it works in BG/dungeons like it was supposed to. But to be fair it worked last time and EME had no reason to believe it wouldn't still.. leading back to my previous point: BHS breaks the most random things.

    You must be fun at parties. Also, who are you calling out as the lag troll? Cuz if it's me, I haven't been to bamarama since the first 2 days of the event. This post was meant to be a lol thread for mystics that were bored during rapid mode time because of it not working in dungeons (with the exception of DSU) and took a cap of their work. Furthermore, if your toaster can't take a couple thousand motes, well gg.

    If you missed the first hour of rapid fire mode, it will turn on again at 7pm to 8pm pdt (in about an hour from when i posted this).
