Well this is what I'm saying though. People like Wonderholme. Why get rid of stuff that people like? I don't understand the logic.
They're pretty much changing Rule Arun and Boss of Shara to be doable in a couple of days, given that you are lucky enough to find each of the world bosses that you need. If faerie becomes this easy to obtain, I find this to be very disappointing, especially to the people who spent all the time and effort to get these achievements. I am well aware that Ktera has a much higher player population with less servers than NA, but something this significant that takes so much time to complete should not be modified. If the people who have finished these 2 achievements are always gonna be on top of the ladder in crusade in "Achievements" why not just move world boss hunting to legacy, that way people can still feel the satisfaction and prestige of having put that effort in and gotten the rewards whilst making achievements more fair for people who simply don't have the patience to hunt world bosses, or just want to run dungeons and such.
If they changed all the 50 kill achievements to require only 1 kill, I wouldn't have minded too much, maybe even changing Rule Arun and Boss of Shara to 1 kill would not have annoyed me that much. As all hunters know, the amount of points you get from these achievements really isn't worth the effort, but the faerie seems to be the main goal that makes people want to pursue this goal. If they want to make a separate achievement just for Willoe that requires 100 kills of each world boss, then sure, I'll gladly take a seat and cease to be concerned with these changes.
Might as well change dungeon titles so they only require 1 clear -_-
Just hope that these changes don't come to the NA servers seeing as we have more servers and a smaller player population, so world boss hunting isn't actually difficult at all, as long as you're willing to put the time in.
Another very salty player
I'm trying to understand these decisions from a business standpoint. I've said the same thing about removing costumes from the cash shop. Why would you remove things that people want?
I'm a consumer. A consumer with a basic understanding of things like advertising, retail, business and logistics. I understand that some things just aren't profitable. A lot of my favorite products are no longer available. I ask why...? They say "because nobody bought them". Well I bought them. I bought a lot of them. And I liked them a lot. "Well nobody else did, and it costs too much money to keep them around."
Now let's try to apply that same principle to this game. Take, say, a dungeon that people enjoy. The code for the dungeon has already been written. The graphics, map, boss mechanics, loot tables, etc., are already in place. The teleportal for the dungeon has been added to the map. The dungeon is released for, say, 3 months. People play it, get good at it, play the hardmode versions of it, get their fancy titles, etc. Sure, maybe by now they are bored with it. So in comes the new dungeon to replace it.
Six months later, repeat of the same scenario. New dungeon, new map, new code, new graphics. Etc. etc. etc. Recycle, rinse and repeat. 1-2 or more years down the line, people start to wonder... whatever happened to that one dungeon that they used to have? That one was fun. I liked it better than the current dungeons.
What happened to that dungeon? Well it still exists. The coding for it, anyway. The map teleportal for it is still there. The coding is still there. Everything still exists. Tucked away in some TERA vault somewhere. Pinned for either recycling or deletion. But you won't get to play it. Not unless the devlords decide to let you.
... but why?
If you go back to my initial example. Sure, it makes sense to get rid of a product that costs money to produce when nobody is buying it. But we're not talking about a physical commodity here. We're talking about an "in game object", the coding for which already exists. It's already been created. No additional development dollars needed. The coding is already there, all you need to do is put it back in the game...!
What are the arguments against? "Server costs"? Seriously? How long is EME going to continue to watch their maintenance budgets drown in a Lake of Tears? Or hey! Let's support 10 channels for a dead leveling zone but only 3 for a busy endgame area...? What? Or, hey! We'll support stupid irrelevant leveling story quests that port you to a private instance in the middle of nowhere for no apparent reason, but there's no way our servers could support private housing or more than X number of dungeons at one time... is anyone really buying this? I don't. Just like I don't buy the bull argument that "offering 'exclusive' items for a limited time is more profitable than selling everything year round".
I don't buy it. I don't understand it. The rest of you can argue all you want about "this is why dey do dis" but all I hear is "blah blah blah White Knight blah blah blah". If their system is so [filtered] great then how come they're NOT Blizzard? Why was BHS forced to sell themselves to Nexon, why has EME been forced to lay people off? Maybe they're not the business geniuses that they claim to be? Maybe they're NOT going about things in the most efficient, most profitable way? And don't even try to give me that "vidya game bizness is hard, nobody makes profits from it"... are you kidding me??? If companies can make profits from games like Bejeweled, Pokemon GO! and Farmville, not to mention WoW, Fallout, Skyrim, GTA, etc. hell even low-budget, low-graphics productions like Minecraft and Runescape have made money... here you have an AMAZING product, TERA, with excellent graphics and action-combat, a full world and full storyline, tons of classes to choose from, different races, costumes, etc.... it's absolute pure untapped potential. I say untapped because no gaming company thus far has been able to take this gem as far as it's capable of going...
But again. What do I know? I am but a poor, stupid pleb. Not a CEO. No MBA. Obviously the "powers that be" know better than me. So, uh, keep on going with your "business as usual" plans. I'm sure that will all work out great...? Best of luck...?
Also Im Champion Laurel already so I dont care about those achievement points at all.
dude, maybe you missunread/missunderstand
Named bossed and rule of, are diferents archivements
Named boss have the World Boss icon in their names ( wb mobs dont have elite icons like somes bams ), and you cant get for archivment 500 ( BAM BAM) in one week
Rule of, is kill a WB bams ( rule of aurun are 11 and ruled of shara 15) but in rule of shara is "only kill" 8 world boss 8, and others are bams ( when they designed in lv 60 ) and you need 4 or almost one year for done ( is almost full time job ) to get them
My bad, the way he wrote it didn't made me think that he was referring to rulers. I know about it, got them in about 4 months (with the first two being only a casual side thing).
- Named boss (thus World boss) spawn timers have been nerfed as well.
This is because Named boss hunting has been added as part of the new Guild system and yeah...
I actually had quite some fun doing this- met new people and made new friends and had a good time chilling with people waiting for one of the Elenea Trio to spawn
Yeah don't do it the hard way like i did. it's not worth it now but-
They will add the new jewelry set necklace to the dungeon completion reward (random for power or crit) so it will be more reasonable to run Celestial Arena.
I agree i really enjoyed Wonderholme (hard mode, way back during Dungeon Assault) so seeing some sort of raid content disappear is quite devastating. this game needs more raid content that's actually fun, and not skewed for a certain demographic.
I actually like schm quite a lot- though it's nerfed right now, it used to be the 2nd boss entertaining dungeon since mchm.
Regarding ses, the prices of them have skyrocketed (to 8k/each according to Yosha) in kTERA- but you can't really compare the two economies, and EME has been doing quite well with events and such to keep the economy somewhat decent... hopefully the new consumable consolidation will be our gold sink.
Yeah i finished Rule Arun and Boss of Shara for the Willoe pet and though it's depressing that it won't be a unique pet any longer, i don't believe my efforts are wasted at all and i had a decent time grinding with friends
Most likely, you will be able to complete instantly but don't take my word for this.

I WASTED MY TIME
Untill you find out that >
and unlike achievements, the guild system will be beneficial.
Personally i have never understood why some achievements are that important to people. Running around countless hours to oneshot a set of Bams so you can be "unique" or "determined"... WB achievs... you won't be missed!
