I think the devs tried to at least give newbies a bit of hope by still having the +12 low tier gear broadcast a mid screen global message. But the fact is that mid tier RNG is still all over the place. And we aren't even talking about perfect rolls, nor the actual h3llish thing that is rolling accessories. Add those, and we'd make true the HopeSpot trope right here in Tera.

    Egads, don't get me started on accessories. There's nothing you can do about those. SES are rare and pricey and you can't use spellbinds on jewelry, meaning you just have to reroll reroll reroll reroll all day long and still not get the stats you want. When it comes to jewelry, I just reroll until my stats are halfway decent. I'm not even going to try to attempt perfection on those.
